Hesston Steam Museum is open weekends Noot to 5pm at least into December. This month they have the Halloween Train . . . sometime in November they will switch it over to a Santa Train. I think they shut down and reopen in the spring. How much longer will they be open with things running?
Recovered phone in the woods 4km away. buy 2 tickets.I should buy a lottery ticket. I'm out moose hunting this week. I spend the morning scouting out a cut for us to watch this evening and found a trail at the back good for birds. I was stopped outside the sxs when my buddy called. I drove back to the truck and loaded up then headed back to camp. When I got there, I discovered that my phone was missing. I drove back 20 minutes to where I was last on it and searched the entire 4km of dirt road back to the highway....twice. Then drove back to camp. My buddies were going to hunt the cut I was scouting out and found it on the dirt road near a puddle almost back to the highway. No damage.
I drove down to the canada/us border to pick up a control panel for my hot tub. Came home and loaded up garbage to bring to the dump. We don't have garbage pickup and the dump is only open Tuesday and Saturday. When I got home I went to work installing the new board. It was giving me the same thing error code as before when I tried it at first. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with the hot tub store that sold it originally. He was telling me the new pump I installed last year was faulty. Ok. I did my own diagnostic IT department specialty and unplugged both pumps and plugged them back in while there was still power to the board. That did the trick as it's now heating up and cycling.
I went over the US Cellular because they have a lot better tech support.Had to buy a new phone.
I had been using my 2 year old Motorola Edge up until Friday, it somehow locked me out.
I was screaming trying to get it to work, took it to two Verizon stores, then a place in Wauseon to have one of the techs look at it.
He said without a pin or a saved password it was useless.
Soooo I bought a Samsung Galaxy s24 , then proceeded to get all of my passwords back so I could log on anywhere.
It's been a damn nightmare.
We don't realize how important that thing we hold in the palm of our hand controls our life.
I literally lost all of my contacts and things that were very important to me.
Somehow got it all back.

In the last couple days, I put up all the firewood I had around... for the winter of 2029-2030. My firewood is stacked deep. I've learned from experience (medical issues, e.g. hip replacement) that circumstances arise whereby getting firewood on any particular year may not happen.
