I've tried vaping and eatables for my persistent back pain. Sadly all it did was make me feel strange. Not a good feeling. But I have talked to some who says it helps them a lot. So it depends on the pain and the person. Might as well give it a try and find out for yourself. Good luck.
True. It affects everyone differently. For me, a lot of my pain is nerve and muscular. It definitely helps relieve the nerve pain and relax muscles. In minutes.

I'm relaxing at camp. I went down to the boat this morning and took the cover off then hooked up one of two batteries for the trolling motor to a charger for a few hours. In a bit, I'll head down and swap the charger to the other battery. There's a power outlet set up for my dock slip neighbor and I to plug in our chargers.

Back from camp. Hydro and cell service was down for 28 hrs following a fart within 10k of the hydro line. 🤬 but enough about that. All I know is I'm sure as F glad I didn't have to rely on an electric f150 to get me home. From what I'm reading everywhere, towing a trailer cuts down fuel mileage to around 120
Km a charge. It's 100km to camp from home. Do the math.

NOT MUCH

I did pull out the hedge trimmers and cut back some brush along the fence.

Cooked a roast in the oven for upcoming lunches, I like to have a protein heavy, carb light meal that I can warm up at any time. 2.5# chuck roast + veggies = 4+ meals that come in handy for me given the fencing season is back in full swing and I have a really odd travel schedule.

Kobe and I played in the swimming pool for about an hour. Kobe is still there, with the lovely Mrs_Bob, who was doing on-line shopping, grooming the dogs and maybe relaxing prior to joining us in the pool.

i plan on cutting the grass on the bank down to the crick, this morning I had to cut lower part then wait for it to dry so I could get traction to stop with the tractor before needing a snorkel , I just got done the hill still a little slippery I might have to take a heat gun to the seat to get the clench marks out of it:)

Where do I start? Let's see. I started out the day without a solid plan but just an idea 💡. I thought the dump opened at 9am. Wasted a trip there with an enclosed cargo trailer full of garbage. Came home to drop that trailer and pick up my flat deck to get some building materials to build a wood shed. Came home. Swapped trailers. Back to the dump. Back home to swap trailers again and start building. 2 hrs later, I'm about halfway through building it. No peeking until I'm done.

The weather has been gorgeous and cool.
I took three long walks today, then made dinner.

Recovering from two days at Hippy Ridge.

Lots of work cleaning up the place. My main project was the 8'X12' shed which we are converting to a 16' X 12' Bath house and power shed. The main power from the pole (240 amps) will start there and be distributed from a large breaker panel. I may need to install a sub shed that will house some main breaker switches and the Internet WIFI system at the base of the pole. My buried cable may be too short to reach the bath house shed in one piece. This will allow me to safely add an extension.

We do not as yet have a well. However, our neighbor lets us ferry water from his. By end of year, I should have a large tank in the attic of the bathhouse to gravity feed the storge tanks of the various RV units. They all have their own storage and 12Volt pump systems. The bath house sits on the highest part of our property. The idea is power outages will not interrupt our water supply.

Truck started running funny and the check engine light came on, took it to the auto parts store in town and they scanned it for free, good thing it was free, 2 cam shaft variable timing solenoids cost me $550.00 and I have to install them myself. Not to bad of a job as seen on youtube. Lots of running around tomorrow for work then load up for another trip to the work cabin on Thursday

.....there's more as that only brought me to supper. Immediately after supper, I was back working on the little wood shed. It's ready for the metal roof. As soon as I put down my drill, my buddy showed up to dump a bunch of pumpkin back in the woods and scope out where we want to set up a permanent deer stand. Afterwards we turned our attention to my plow truck which had an electrical issue. It turned out to be the positive wire going to the starter rubbing on the frame. So that's tomorrow's task. Source out a new power wire. I'm beat.

At the laundromat with my 93 year old aunt. She's nuts, she's driving me crazy, but I gotta do what I gotta do. She's been so frugal her entire life, a spinster, and totally wastes money at this place. Maybe she thinks it is a casino? Pay for me!

Went to Purdue to teach the beginner class for all 3 fencing weapons last evening. Left campus at 11:30pm for the 80 mile drive home.

Woke up earlier than expected, feeling pretty good.

Beautiful cool morning so I sat out with the dogs enjoying the cool morning air and the warm morning sun.

A little yard work.

Moved Kobe's "race car" toddler bed out to the garage, but snapped some photos and listed it on Facebook Marketplace so hopefully someone moves it out of my garage.

A little more yard work.

Made a nice fish sammich, homemade tartar sauce, mild horseradish mayo, roasted garlic . . . topped with shredded cheddar & lettuce, on an onion bun

Water is running into the pool, as we had the pool heater set at 91(F) for the long weekend and experienced a good bit of evaporation. I have an alarm set to shut the water flow off so it doesn't get too high.

This evening I'll be going to the fencing club, then up to O'Hare airport to pick up a guest/Notre Dame fencer who will stay with us overnight. I'll be taking him to campus on Thursday. He's a nice kid, stayed here before, attended his graduation, met his parents, etc. etc. etc.

Currently? Still wiping dirt and rust from every nook and cranny after crawling around underneath the old plow truck running new starter wire to the starter from the battery. Everything is connected and I have power inside the cab but not enough juice to start it. It's sitting on the charger.

Oh yes. This morning! Sheesh. I had forgotten about scheduling our septic tank to be pumped. I was stand there half asleep in my housecoat with a coffee in hand when I heard beep beep beep. Oh crap. Literally. Threw on my dirty clothes from yesterday and headed outside to take the covers off the septic tank. As soon as he was done, I headed to the city to pick up wires for the plow truck then came home to tackle that. After fixing it, I switched to my flat deck trailer and installed new lights on the back.

I am a house-husband today. So, vacuuming, dusting, and laundry.
I always do the cooking.

In an attempt to regain my masculinity, I will mow the lawn later this evening when it is cooler.

Since my wife works full-time, I do most of the cooking and cleaning at home. I don't mind. Once upon a time I wanted to be a chef until I worked in a hot kitchen in the summer and discovered that while everyone else is out fishing and hanging out by the lake, I was stuck in a kitchen slaving over a hot stove. I do enjoy cooking though.

I did train to be a chef. Put myself thru college making Pastas and Pizza, sauces etc and everything.
So, I do the cooking, and I also do enjoy it.
Crumpy cooks for holidays. She is awesome.

I've been working on relocating our big fire pit all summer as where it was located before down by my shop is the lowest point in the yard. So where does all the water sit in the spring before the frost lets go? Right in the area where it was. Plus, it was sitting just a few feet lower and to the right of our septic field making the grass very fertile there and a pain to mow. The first step was building a wood shed and filling it up with the trees I cut down this spring. Next is relocating the actual firepit stones.

Might as well show the semi finished firepit area. I relocated the stones and placed the swing and bench. I replaced a few of the rotten boards with newer repurposed wood from a picnic table. Next week I plan on staining them.

I had zero thought of coming to camp last night until my wife suggested that I go. It was a last minute decision but I drove out last night for the night to get the boat loaded up on the trailer to haul home for the winter. The forecast is still calling for temperatures in the high 20s (celcius) this week but right now we are sitting at zero degrees. There's frost on my windshield. It's time to pull the boat and get ready for hunting season 😎

Recovering from a late night at Purdue, departed campus about 11:30pm for the 90 minute commute home.

Got up about 7, a bit of coffee and then went out to 'weed wack' the back yard, moved the trampoline out of the center of the lawn area, hauled a dead plum tree and a bunch of trimmed branches down to the burn pile.

Drove to the fencing club to drop off a couple furniture dollies for 4' wide rolls of rubber flooring that we will have delivered. Best part is I will be on vacation in Florida when the truck arrives, so the other old men will be dosing up on Advil and moving the couple hundred pound rolls of flooring down to the basement where our fencing club is located.

Also picking up things and packing for the flight. 9:45am (theoretically) we will be lifting off out of O'Hare on our way to St Augustine.

I was up early this morning at camp as it was near freezing. We have a frost advisory for tonight. I headed to the lake and pulled my boat out of the water for the season to haul home. I spent some time working on an old chainsaw that hasn't been used in years. Got it running but it needs more tlc than I can give it here. I repaired a few broken snaps on my boat cover. Did some cleaning up around the site. We're closing up for the season in a few weeks after I get in some bird hunting. I've been busy at home getting ready for deer season. 🦌

RANT ON

I took my grandson driving (he has his permit) tonight the sun was in his eyes I'm yelling to get over as a bridge side wall was coming up
he still is fooling with sun visor.
I reached over and shut the car off, now he's pissed that I yelled at him and shut the car off.
I did that I told him to get out and look between the bridge and the car I had the window down and my hand was 1/2 way across the wall and there was only inches between my door and bridge. He say's "OH' I explained that if I raise my voice and tell you to do something stop what ever you are doing and do it and it goes for any time home on the road anywhere. He had a million excuses and wasn't happy i told him to pull up and I'm driving home.
When get home and he tells my wife (grandmother) and my daughter (mom) and I'm in the dog house for yelling at him I told them that it was yell or the car would be totaled you pick because if i cant yell I quit!

RANT OFF

Squirrels ate the starter chord on my Husky Lawnmower.
Simple fix, yes.
But when I took it apart the rewind spring got away. It took three/four hands to hold everything in place in order to get the parts back together. Me and the wife spent hours figuring out how to hold parts and get everything back in the box.

Hopefully we go it right. I will get a new rope tomorrow and we will see.
