What are you doing today, II

O---------------------oh, you are gonna pay for that! :ROFLMAO:

Seriously...lmao. She kept telling me to "stop saying it's sciatica. You don't know that. You're not a doctor". 5 hours of sitting on a hard plastic seat at emerge and the doctor said there's nothing we can do for sciatica pain here. Oh well. Sometimes we have to go to greater lengths to prove we're right.

I called and booked a physio appointment for this afternoon. I'll go in early and try to find a good brace for sciatica pain so I can still function. In the meantime it's hot tub and heating pad.

Well I've been sleeping on hospital recliner our because closest hospital couldn't figure out the problem.
She was transferred to Hershey medical center 2 1/2 houwers away were they have the recliner from mark de sade torture chamber.
I would have been better sleeping in our suburban I drove down.
Hershey did some lab work put her on massive liquids' via IV. 1 liter in an hour hen one for 4 hours and one in an hour all day monday and early tuesday. still waiting for an OR to figure out with her gallbladder problem.
later tuesday they determined that the surgery wasn't needed because all her labs were getting better and sent us home, with the promise if she had problems to come back there there's no doubt in my mind we will!

Spent most of the day sitting in the recliner with a heating pad on my tailbone and right hip nursing an angry sciatica nerve. I was up 3hrs in pain last night. Tried a stretch in bed and keeled over in pain for an hour. I forced myself to get dressed which took twice as long as I couldn't bend down or lift my leg. I put two of my boys to work unloading the flat deck trailer with pallets and loading it with garbage for our weekly run to the dump. We did that. I watched. Went to physio and he did some joint manipulation. Now I'm back on the chair with a heating pad.

My sciatica was still very sore all weekend not allowing me to stand. I had ordered this on Amazon last week. I picked it up today and tried it out. Game changer. Went from barely standing with a cane to outside doing yard work all afternoon unassisted in standing.

Got back from Chicago a little while ago. Spent most of the day up there helping my friends with their fencing club. They moved into a new facility, today we unloaded 11 rolls of flooring and started to put it down. They will continue late into the evening. I was one of the "early shift" helpers. I also wanted to get out of the city before the main rush hour traffic got into full swing. Their club is on the far north side of the city and I live in Indiana so it's a long drive without the traffic.

My truck is loaded with my tools, so I'll be unloading that shortly.

I also have some gravel spread at the end of the workshop driveway. We have a newly repaired asphalt roadway and there is now a lip at the driveway so some gravel needs to be spread. Fortunately I'm getting a free cubic yard of crushed limestone from the neighborhood association dumped at the end of the drive, I told them I'd spread it.

Nice.

Since I was finally mobile for the first time in weeks I headed outside to try and fire up the plow truck. The battery is shot. It can wait until next week. Onto the next project. I spent some time working on a big water trampoline fixing some old patches that were leaking then made a run to the dump. Came home and mowed the lawn. My wife is at camp with one of our daughters alone for a girls night. I'm manning the fort. After supper I helped our oldest daughter hang some old vinyl records in her room as decorations.

Laying a brick walk on the south side of the house. This is where the greenhouse is along with the compost piles and the garden tool shed.
Always been a mess for the last 10 years after the wood decking rotted out. The manufactured brick should out last me.

The big AC unit resides there, and I have a space set aside for the back up generator if we ever do that.

I hit the ground running this morning and tackled the old fifth wheel camper we have for sale going through all the systems making sure they work. The water system hasn't had water in 3 years. Everything fired up including the hot water tank and furnace. I had a couple coming to see it this morning. Afterwards I loaded up the truck and trailer and my youngest son and headed to camp. My wife was already there since yesterday with my daughter. Now I'm about 7 beer in after going down to the dock for a swim and uncover the boat.

Fixed the Ventrac lawn tractor (Kawasaki engine issue)

Mowed the front lawn and the living room lawn.

Went to the doctor, got good results, come back in 6 months, no need to have anything stuck in any orifices, prescriptions refilled.
Celebrated by going to the iconic ARNIE'S DOG HOUSE for a Polish w/everything + double onions and a side of fries. Clearly unhealthy, but I have 6 months to recover from this meal :ROFLMAO:

Mowed the rest of the yard.

We are supposed to have big thunder and lighting storms roll through but I think they are tracking north of me, and I'm fine with that. Now sitting with some Sazarac Rye.

I just like at radar. Looks like those storms are taking just south of me. Or maybe we just get the northern part of that system as it passes through.
I think I'm gonna get me some polish tonight....

We came back from camp after being there most of the past 2 weeks. It was a bitter sweet weekend as a friend of ours at camp passed away unexpectedly last Thursday. He had addiction issues and it's suspected he OD'd. He leaves behind a wife and 3 kids all around their early 20s.

Home Depot for some paint and supplies.

UPS store to ship off a couple motorcycle jackets I sold.

Back home to paint a patio table and fix some things.

Should have a low humidity 75(F) degree day today to work and relax outside.

Nothing exciting.

We've been in a 2 week heat wave until last Thursday when a front came in and dropped us to late September temperatures this past weekend nearing the single digits in celcius. Today we're going back to the mid 20s.

Heading back home from camp today. This week will be hectic as it's fair weekend and my wife is treasurer of the fairgrounds committee. What does that mean for me? We're hauling our fifth wheel camper over there and staying for the weekend. I am hauling back our golf cart at camp to use there. We also have a gas powered golf cart at home we're bringing over to use.

Trying to recover from the flooding in our area our house was about 5' above the highest level but the fire company had about 25 0r 30 calls at the height of the storm friday for trees down and rescues on the creeks around us we faired ok no loss.
one of our nearby fire co's had a log flow in to their fire house and take a wall out.
in upper central they faired worse had some missing people we went to help and they were just calling everyone in for the night
tomorrow is another day

My wife has tai chi in Seattle at 1300 then we will take our time and drive to Snohomish for a 1700 wedding. I have no clue if there will be food after the wedding. The groom is the son of my fishing buddy and is a Capt in the Marine Corps. The bride is his high school sweetheart and Jag officer in the army. The were married in a court room last year and this will be a family wedding. She is half Philippine so it will be an affair.

On my way home from camp yesterday, I felt an occasional shudder in the hills. By the time I got home, I had convinced myself that it was a bad coil. I scanned it with my cheap Amazon scanner and it said misfire cylinder 4. Ok. I drove to napa in the city and picked up a new one. Came home. Installed it. Went for a test drive. Good to go. I also took the sportsman 700 for a short ride around the yard. Almost did a wheelie. It runs like new.

Because of work extending deep into the spring/summer, I'm still clearing trees that blew down in a February storm. I'm about 50% done. The previous owner of my home for whatever reason ran energized PVC all over the property about 4" in the ground, some of it to ??? Today while dragging a big tree branch with the excavator I found some more that shut me down for a couple hours while I went to town for the fittings and some pipe. Where I am clearing now is a mess, one big tree blew down in the crotch of another big tree and split it, all 3 are tangled with each other and every tree near it.

Guess everyone else is busy this week. Lol.

I've been busy all week getting odd jobs done at home and helping out with setup at the fairgrounds for the fair this weekend. I drove back out to camp Tuesday to pick up my sxs and drop off a couple a few things. My truck ran ok until almost there then I felt the shudder again. I had my tools, a scanner and an old spare coil. I removed the 3 remaining original coils and took them apart to clean the contacts and apply dielectric grease. It's been running great since then. Yesterday I brought over both of our fifth wheel campers to the fairgrounds to set up.
