Our special guest attending Snow Cat Serenade 2022,

"Doc" and his wife Gail, will be renewing their wedding vows on the Saturday Trek, this
will happen during our stop for lunch, on top of the mountain,
so, instead of throwing rice, think we will do snow balls, small ones,
if anyone has any ideas to make this special for Doc ( Greg ) and Gail, they have been married 46 years...

lets make this a very wonderful moment in our snow catting adventures

"it happened in sun valley"

yes, this is the same "Doc" from the forums, he is the very guy that makes all this possible for the snow cat world to gather on the web.

pm or text me with your ideas

thank you

an extra saw never hurts....

yes, always lots of coolers,

to remind folks again, trail lunches are always provided at no charge, this year I upped the game on trail lunch, featuring April's trail Cafe, many thanks to "Tye one on" April for helping last year and this year, she really came up with great ideas and much better way to make it all work so much smoother. thank you April, so kind of you,

everyone should absolutely enjoy "April's" trail cafe....

Nope.

No Snow-Zilla, or more correctly due to The Infamous WBJ1's poor choice of color, Putri-Zilla (also known as The Green Weenie). Unfortunately, we had a number of issues that caused us work stoppages and by the time those were behind us, the probability of getting it done in time was close to nil. The title of Doris Kearns Goodwin's book about the Boston Red Sox is appropos "Wait Tilll Next Year".

We had to have two operable machines to bring to SV 2022 and the easiest and fastest way to ensure that was using the same machines as last year; the 1544 and TUG. The 1544 transfer case had a leak and needed new seals. This was frustrating as we had previously replaced the seals in the transfer case... ARGGGH! (When we had previously done the 1544 seal replacement, we looked at the existing seal number, and bought replacements based on that number.)

What's interesting is that a month or so ago we had removed the old seals from Putri-Zilla's transfer case and those seals were different than what we remembered installing in the 1544's transfer case. Putri-Zilla's were the original seals (based on the orange paint over spray on the seals) and so I ordered six seals to do both transfer cases. Then after pulling the seals from the 1544's transfer case I looked up the dimensions of it's seals and the Putri-Zilla seals, and they were different. The Putri-Zilla seals had a smaller ID. Apparently, a previous owner of the 1544 had installed the wrong seals and we did the same thing. Once the correct seals were in place (we also installed Speedi Sleeves on the two output shafts)... no leaks.

Scott and I are genuinely looking forward to SV2022, seeing old friends and making new ones....

Is there an estimated head count yet?

yes, of those that have rooms at sun valley, and one couple staying in a condo in Ketchum, 2 local residents, So, I count approx 54 people,

this does not include any that show up at the last minute and or not staying in sun valley and have not said they are coming, and there are always a couple of them

7 families from east of the Mississippi, 3 couples from foreign counties, and 6 states west of the Mississippi, kinda of a international event

all-n-all a really good group of folks with well prepared machines,

snow cat serenade, a gathering of old grousers

Should i bring some Pecan whiskey,? sorry no Groomer beers this time.

so, I repainted the green weenie, BSGzilla, pickle, so sad it is not coming...
Me too....

I was genuinely hoping to have it completed, and that was our goal for a long time. Unfortunately, various medical issues and other constraints intervened, and then when timely completion was in doubt, we had to shift gears.

But on the bright side, The Infamous WBJ1 will be there, and even brighter...so will Jenn!
