What's up with the ugly yellow background?

Gatorboy, it's certainly taken you long enough to notice!!! Its been like that for quite a while.

The Debate Forum is YELLOW
The Snowcat Forum is RED

It is just a visual cue so that you can remember that the discussions in the Debate Forum can get pretty heated and that if you don't like to argue then you might want to avoid the YELLOW forums.

The RED forums are for all the Snowcat people, again just a visual cue. Red and reddish orange are the traditional color of most brands of snowcats. Some sort of coloring was requested by members so that there would be a visual reminder of the various areas we have. Only the backgrounds have been changed around the edges of the page.

Dave, if set to the default settings, the Snowcat area has a red border. But then again you might be color blind?

I guess I could install some forum software and then give you that link. Are you trying to suggest that because I don't have a forum makes me not creditable to know the difference between "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly?"

I've setup phpBB forums in the past and have developed and designed websites for over 10 years and I stand by my statement that the yellow background on this page is freakin' ugly -- especially the top of the page.

This would be of significant value if only your opinion counted, but since you are only one, it just doesn't hold much water around these parts... :D

It's to show credibility. I learned that's a good idea to tell your audience, back when I took speech class.

Well, I would assume each person's opinion only counts as one. It wouldn't be right for me to say EVERYONE thinks it's ugly -- I can't speak for everyone else.

This statement is nothing more than trying to be belittling of FF. Your views I am sure are welcome but could you try and be a little more tactful.
 
If you don't like it change it. It is all in your control. I would have thought a forum savy guy like you could have figured that out on his own. :pat:

Default Style or T66 Style -- both provide the YELLOW background. Perhaps if I had admin privileges I could do something about it.
 
I hadn't even noticed the colours until you mentioned it. I am too busy reading the posts to look at the background!

Well, I'm just so proud of you; developing web sites for over 10 years! My goodness, that means you rank, what, in the top 50% of the population in intelligence? If I need a website developed I pay some dolt to do it for me. :moon:

The yellow looks fine to me. Besides, it reminds me of people who sit in cyberspace and take pot shots at others just so they can feel superior in some way. :yum:

It must be your background in wrestling. I have spent many, many hours on the mat. It seems to make most people there are able to both dish it out and take it as well without getting rattled. Well, that is until you roll someone up in the mat or wrap them up with the mat tape. That generally gets the best of 'em rattled.

I am always stirring the pot, and I feel I can take it just the same -- I appreciate great zingers and can laugh at myself as well. You will rarely see me standing in line with the sheep (that's a metaphor -- no wise cracks!)
