What are you doing today, II

24ish hours in hospital with bad flue symptoms even after my shot.
they said people without shot are dong worse than me and I feel lower than whale POOP.
Trying to recover from the flue one flight of steps and I'm pooped.
They found I have AFib and are hoping its strain from the flue and asthma medicine I was on
I'm still coughing Asthma wheezing bad they changed my Asthma meds and their not working so good but the old stuff increases my hart rate and they don't want to push that.

Taxes. Actually getting some back. Was expecting to pay. I'm usually in for a couple thousand. But I'm getting some back. Surprise!
Next week going to visit my kid on Florida along with my two brothers. Leaving Wednesday, coming back Tuesday. Plans are go carting at Piquet race park (mile long track), reef fishing of Key Largo, air boating in the everglades (a customer of my kid, that has air boats, one being a 1,500 hp air boat), heading over to Naples to see along lost friend with a classic 70ft Burger, and of course cubans and Kalik.

Get better soon, Tom and regain your strength. ❤️
I had Influenza A the last week of January.
I had the flu vaccine too, in October.
It lasted about 10 days, the cough hung around for almost 3 weeks.
We've lost quite a few residents this time around from it.
To be quite honest, it felt worse than covid.
We've very recently stopped wearing the blue surgical masks.

Hang in there, it will pass.

Yea, well your French just says "I can also speak the language" (I think), my Cajun French also says the same with a FU attitude. ;)

Went to church this morning and got in touch with my old high school cheerleading coach this afternoon. I was a cheerleader during high school football and she was my JV and Varsity cheerleader coach. We talked about so many memories, One was when I came up wearing my Marines uniform in 1998 while on leave. Practice was over and she had an OMG look on her face. Biggest was her coming to my parent's home seeing me in 2005 when I came home to recover more after my lower left leg was amputated waiting on my prosthetic legs. We hugged and did cheer me up, said she seen me tough and encouraged me to get out of the dumps.

Still working although I got the news this morning that the owner of the machine shop I go to passed away this morning. He was 94 years in good shape still working. Good thing is his grandson is still going to run it and he is like him, a great guy that treats the customer right

Tile floor this morning. Coaching fencing at the club this afternoon. Driving 80 miles to Purdue, coaching there this evening. Should arrive back home about 12:30am.

Big tile in a small space with only 1 reachable electrical outlet resulted in setting 2 or 3 tiles, moving things, installing 2 more, moving things, repeat, repeat, repeat. Stopped at this point. Everything else is long cuts but I'll be on the tiles that I just set. They will move around if I don't let them dry first and that will end up with all sorts of uneven grout lines. So I'll probably just finish tomorrow.

Slept 3.5 hrs last night. 🥱 Back pain. Splitting headache. But....I still got up this morning so I guess that's a plus. I have absolutely SFA planned for today except for a nap this afternoon.

Went over to my other property in my other shop, had a lathe and a milling machine dropped off including accessories for them there. A drill press and a metal chop saw are coming tomorrow. Inherited them from a family friend that passed last month. Will be my fab and work on my own things shop.

Burned 2 huge brush piles, that were trimmings from down trees in last years storms, only one went down this year, so maybe this year can be the year that I get to trim everything up high with the pole saw, instead of cutting up down trees all summer.

See the sagebrush on the right in the bottom picture, that’s the next job for the excavator, is to get rid of it. It is a fire hazard and it made the horse arena an L shape, I want it square.
