230 Pilot,

So glad you made the trip out, and that Track Addict did as well. You guys add so much to the event for all....

However, conspicuous by his absence was DAVENET. What's with that? If I understood correctly, the consensus was his excuse was considered lame by just about everyone....

Hopefully (Hint, Hint) he'll do better next year!

And hang around in beautiful snowy conditions with a riff-raff (Cat-folk) crowd from the forum??? Sir, I think not!

Just too many irons in the fire this year. Headed to your neck of the woods (generally speaking) tomorrow night for 10 days. Into Vegas then off to do the Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Moab and Grand Canyon parks loop. Then to San Antonio for work a couple weeks later and then URI graduation a couple more after that.

Was working hard to fly under the radar and get a hall pass with decals and pushing the OG award forward! ;):)

DAVENET,

It was a great group of folks this year. Perhaps the best year of the Sun Valley Serenades... and nobody was busting your chops for not being there... so I felt it necessary to assume the role. The decals were nice, but no substitute for your presence. You were missed, plain and simple.

Have a great trip, and make sure you check out Arches National Park as well. A friend describes it as "One of the coolest places on the planet".

Correction for that - staying in Moab (the town) and going to Arches
Rent a awd and back up lions back.... turn around at the top and back down... if you live, let me know so i dont wonder....

SV 2024
What an amazing trip! It's obviously one I will remember forever since I got married!!! I will also remember it for many other things! So many great folks. The folks we already knew and the new folks we met. All the catters that helped us haul our crew into the mountains. Not including us and the kids, we brought 31 folks to SV and all the catters were super awesome about hauling flatlanders around in their cats. Sooo thankful for all y'alls help! Out of our 31 guests we had exactly ZERO complaints about being cold or the conditions, even from the folks that rode out and back in the trailer. Actually it was the opposite. It took two days to get through all the phone calls of people saying "trip of a lifetime", etc. Everyone also talked about the food on the trail - April killed that! I am certain every single one of our guests will remember SV24 forever as well and a bunch of that is credit to y'all.

First trip in our own Snocat instead of borrowing a cat from BFT or bumming rides. That was awesome! Of course BFT and The Sweet Gorilla killed it on Snowzilla, I couldn't be happier! My buddy Teddy took Snowzilla back thru SLC and they got the blade mounted on it. The cat is now snuggled up safe and sound in its new home in SW CO. Waiting on us to get a cabin and looking forward to the next trip.

Hanging out in the lobby listening to the band until WAYYYY too late was so much fun. I kind of felt bad, but also tickled when they ran out the house musician because everyone was coming to listen to them instead. They can't help it, they are just sooo good!

Our kids and niece got to go skiing for the first time. The snow Friday night and Saturday morning made for some awesome skiing on Baldy Saturday morning. Rife picked it up right away like a pro. Reese and Alexa stuck to the practice slope and apparently Scout is gonna be a downhill racer lol. Now our kids want to skip any beach trips and go skiing instead.

I didn't get to send Leon his cupcake, very sad about that. I will have to get him TWO in 2025!

Can say thanks enough to everyone. What a special group of folks!

Old Grouser society, and it's latest member, Boonie of Rupert, idaho.

this yearly award is all about the old grousers on our cats and those that use them, drive them and care for the history of these unique machines, they are great folks and act like our heart and soul

the Old Grouser award has gone from west coast to east coast and back again, hopefully it finds it's way to the midwest sometime soon, past winner gets to pick next years recipient, and each winner gets the privilege of creating next years sculpture.

Boonie is the fifth member.

good choice Davenet!

Boonie is a great choice and does he ever, love snow catting

Thank you sincerely to each and everyone that came to the Serenade this year, absolutely wonderful gathering of old grousers, it was nice to see the OG gang and the new folks that joined us in serenading the sawtooth mountains, April's kitchen is the best. Very impressed no on trail breakdowns - everyone did a great job, new treks, the scenery was impressive, and the evening of listening to our very own folk musicians every evening and well into the early hours, was priceless. Thank you again, to each and everyone again, for making this years serenade the best!

Looking forward to next years Snow Cat Serenade, 2025, not to be missed...

Biggest thanks of all goes to the Pontoon Princess! I am guessing very few people, if anyone, actually know how much effort you put into these events. I have never seen someone so good at planning/hosting events. Your events always go off perfectly and you make it look easy when it is certainly NOT easy. You truly have it mastered. In addition to how much effort you put in is the amount of money you put in!! The swag this year was AWESOME!! The pins and cups were great, but the jacket was AWESOME!
Jenn and I were talking about back when you were saying you were retiring from hosting these get togethers..... Thank God you changed your mind! We were both VERY happy and excited to see SV2025 already on the calendar Thanks for all the work and memories PP! It really is time to change your name to Pontoon Queen!

Well Said!

Looks like you all had an epic round up. Now that's how you herd Cats! Almost made it this year. Ready to go and ran into last minute trailer problems.:( We'll be there next year!

Some still shots
