Warm springs lodge is where I park at SV. Best spot to end the day for apres how the sun sets on the mountain and easiest access from a lot.

The runs down that lift super fun also. Happy to take people around that want to ski during the trip!

Here’s a shot of the spot.

This seems like a fun event. Do you have to have a snowcat to attend or will there be rides provided? Also congratulations on the partnership 👏

thank you for the kind words, these events are private events and those on the forums are welcome to attend, sadly we do not rides and or any thing open to the public as such, or to be used as content for a you tube influencer channel, etc etc etc, I suggest you make a couple of snow cat owner friends and come with them, but, better yet, buy a snow cat and join in the the fun...

One more thing, I'm thinking of a few days of camping before the event at the Baker creek Campground. any other interest?

Here in Ketchum, we have about 4” of snow on the valley floor. Baker Creek has about 8”. The Nordic skiing is phenomenal, but it’s a bad year to buy a new sled! Ive Never seen it this bare in my 50 year existence here, although I’m told 1977 was about the same. The Sawtooth valley is about the same. I have to go west of Stanley for work tomorrow so it will be interesting to see how conditions are over there.

I’m watching the forecast discussions daily, and even though the ridge of high pressure is shifting outta here, there’s little more than snow showers forecasted until about the 8-9 day mark. We shall see snow, we always do!

im planning on taking the Imp to Baker creek sometime this weekend to test steering after new band install. We’ll see how it goes!

Happy New year!

fyi, historically, the Stanley Basin has always gotten a far greater snow fall then theSun Valley/Ketchum/Hailey areas of the Wood River Valley,
Stanley Basin/Red Fish lake area is where this years Serenade will have all of its treks. this area is north of Sun Valley area.
it is diffidently a late start to winter, it will be good snow pack by the time we get there!

Track Addict Fun Fact:

My wife 🇮🇹🇺🇸 ran her mothers Bridal Shop 20 years ago when we were new after her 🇮🇹immigrant mother passed at a young age. We lived upstairs for a few years pre kids and immersed ourselves in weddings!

This wedding party is in great East Coast Preserve hands! Might I suggest a cassata wedding 🎂?

Now if we could just find a way to get the 1443 out there and a trailer for it to tow upon arrival…… Pintle Hitch preferred

Now that sounds like my kind of gathering! Who says you can't herd cats! How do we sign up? Just make reservations at SV Lodge and show up with a cat?

Couple newbie questions that likely have been handled multiple times in the past.

Is the event easily attended in a rental car out of salt lake city or boise? I believe i dreamt up a movement plan where in I flew to SLC then hoped for a weather gap to buzz up and just generally bum around and be a pain in the ass begging rides ( cat sucking) and what not.

has anyone done the entitled tourist route?

Would I be better finding a seat before hand?

I could spill beer and use off color language if needed?

8-)))))

I'd think Boise if you want the freedom of your own car. otherwise SUN and bum both cat and car rides. I think you could find a few empty seats if you just showed up. I don't know about the alcohol abuse that's frowned on. Spilling beer is an improper use of the product. Off color? you mean olive puke green instead of orange?
