I never missed it.
When I was in cub scouts, the scout master worked for the telephone company, and would bring those to the scout meetings . We made Christmas wreaths and all kinds of things from them.
Good Lord, I can remember those days. I was in College in London and I can remember going down the hall to the main frame complex pushing a dolly with boxes and boxes of punch cards and hoping that no one ran into you. One card out of sequence and it would reject everything. I can also remember spending hours upon hours typing those friggin punch cards, one line of instruction per card at a time.
Those were great songs! I call the crap they are listening to today 'narcotics music'. LOL
