Hate to say it, but 17,000 will not buy a reliable 1000 hp engine. You could probably take a Godzilla, throw a SC on it. And make 1000hp for a dyno pull or two. But not very long. Something is going to break. Soon.
1000 reliable and fully dressed hp is going to cost at least 35,000 bucks.
