Durwood

Went to see Dwain today - his IV's have been removed and his chest tubes are out. They moved him from ICU today to the ICU step down unit. Dr said as long as he keeps progressing so well he may be able to be discharged on Tuesday. He's feeling pretty good but tired. Thank you Lord!! ... This is still from his sisters F/B page..
 
I dont know Durwood, but i would like to add he will be in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. :flowers:
 
He will have to chase the nurses for a minimum distance and be eating and moving his bowels before they kick him loose. Slow process to come back from that surgery. Tell him we are pulling for him.:flowers:

Just chatted with Durwoods sister.... He will be released from the hospitality tom...and is going to Heartland in Eaton..for rehab..Hope he dosn't have to spend alot of time there..:whistling:

Thats how I chatted with his sister..I was waiting till he felt up to talking..but gave that up and called his cell..His sister had his phone..she said he said take it i don't feel like talking to anybody right now....:whistling:
 
Just talked with Dwain.. He said he has a couple weeks still before he might get to go home,from rehab..He sounded pretty weak..I'm sure he is still hurting..He said to tell everyone from FF thanks for the prayers..and he would be on in a couple weeks..His sister did excape him and took him to frishes for dinner..Glad to hear that he is on the mend..:whistling:
 
If he was permitted to be checked out for time away, he must be doing better.

He sounded good to me, but he said the weakness lingers and his eyesight isn't the best.
Said he was sitting on a porch area back at the facility, in a rocking chair relaxing.
He had a therapy session today, and will have 2 tomorrow.
Enjoyed his dinner and a chance to get away for a bit.

It kinda broke my heart when he said "I can hear my phone, but I can't see it".
That's when he mentioned his eyes being bad.
Poor baby, if I were there I'd give him such a hug.
He's been through a lot.

Thanks so much for all the prayers my friends here have sent up for me. I am on the mend at home now after being gone almost a month. It is nice to know that there are those who will take time out of their day to offer up a prayer for someone in need. My healing is going very good and only some leg problems are bothering me is all. Thanks again so much and especially to my little angel "Ashley" that God has allowed to watch over me.

Good to hear he is improving. The first few months are the worst. After that they just drive you nuts going to docs.:biggrin:
