You know you like your cats too much when...

Someone sees you wearing one of the apparel items of 'The 2008 Thiokol Trackmaster Line-up'. Yea, I couldn't resist and had to have some Thiokol-branded gear (past the T-shirt stage of eccentricity), made by the very talented Karin Vail (Thank you Karin!). Well, the black jacket was just *one* of the various orange-cat items. Thank goodness she can make these... I keep asking her to stock up on 'Thiokol Orange' thread because I know Boggie will just buy it all out like everything else! :thumb:
Of course, for historical purposes, I also had to have some Air Force blue Thiokol gear made up as well. :drink:
Weatherby--- PM me your size... a blue 601 is on me for your maiden voyage.

No, but it can be designed but that has to be from the ground up and is a pain-staking process as I was looking for some other stuff too. This TM design took her hours and hours to get into you computer which was a labor of love due to her hubby's TM restoration.
I wont' speak for her business, but there are enough Imp owners on here and enough passion from just about every Imp owner... that it could be distributed over the cost of the group. I'll let her comment as she and her husband read the forum too.
She and her husband have very good taste in cats (obviously since they own a Trackmaster) so I think she'll stick to Thiokol, of course. ;) So an Imp design may be in the cards... who knows.

Hello :)

I don't have an Imp design done, but I can certainly do one if there is enough interest. I can do other branded cats too if there is enough interest. It's a full days work for me to turn a picture into a design that is ready for the embroidery machine, so there would have to be enough interest. Or a person who wanted it badly enough they were willing to pay the set-up fee (would vary depending on complexity). I also don't have any Imp pictures, so someone would have to provide a clear pic (preferably BMP and the more pixels the better).

Albert was lucky as I digitized this one for my husband (so no set-up fee) - Black Diamond Custom Cats (that ''pimped'' the trackmaster) also ordered shirts a while back for their business after seeing a hat I made my husband. That design has something like 35,000 stitches!

You could use my avatar if you like or I could get some other pictures for you. There are also many on the web. What would the set up fee come to? Maybe some of us could split it. Thanks.

your avatar really isn't a pic I could use I don't think. The angle isn't right (and the resolution on a small pic like that won't work).

Mainer has sent me a few pics - and I will see what I can do from them. I am having problems with carpal tunnel right now, so I need to cut my time using my hands for a little bit to hopefully eleviate it :(

Some Imp Pics for later. I don't have any more recent pics of my cat but may be able to get some if you need them.

the pics with the snow or shadows in them are hard because if I try to use the vectorizing program to reduce colors to a suitable amount for embroidery, the detail in the tracks or shadowed areas gets lost - I like the pic of the cat in the barn, but I think head-on or side-on shots are too one-dimentional in embroidery (personal preference I think). It's not easy to digitize these things, and the starting picture makes or breaks the design a lot of times.

I'll let the board know when I get an Imp design done - it might be a couple weeks yet, but it'll happen :) I'm still working on cleaning up the picture before I digitize the design :)

I would like ball caps and fleece vests. If the ball caps were wool, so much the better!!:thumb:

yeah beenie type caps...with the little propeller on top... you know....:yum: :yum:

No I mean high quality ball caps if they are available. Thanks.

by 'beanie' cap, I meant the knit caps that don't fold over on the lower edge :bonk: :yum:

unfortunately, I don't a 'cap specialty' type embroidery machine - so to do caps, I have to be able to flatten them out and put them in the flat hoop. So, thicker hats would be pretty difficult. The structured caps are pretty much not possible unfortunately.

Well, I guess ski hats would be fine. Thanks for considering this. Please let me know when you have a design ready. Do you do duffle bags as well? thanks.

Here is my avatar in picture form. I sure wish you could use it for your design. Thanks.

it's a nice pic, just not a very good one for digitizing, sorry.

Yes, I will be able to do duffle bags too.

I also did some can cover (koozies), water bottle koozies, and bottle koozies I'm selling on eBay - I will be able to do those too once I get the design done.

I'm taking my imp out this weekend, I can take a few pictures. Would it help if the background was all snow, so that the background was solid white ?

Robert

How could I improve it?

the best pic would be one colored background, not quite as steep of an angle under it maybe? No shadows from tree's, etc.

I do have a decent pic from Mainer though that I've been working on here and there - I just don't have a lot of spare time to work on it right now, but I will get one done, I promise!

where did you come up with that old PTO winch on the front? whats the rating, weight of the unit, and what effect did it have on the ride?
