Whats your weather like right now?

High's in the low 60's and lows in the low 40's with some rain this weekend. Currently 42 degrees @ 6:30 am

After 5 days of freezing rain/drizzle, today was actually quite nice. It started off at 28°F and climbed up to the high 60s. I was glad because I was working our Rotary semi-annual electronics recycling event today. Started off with an insulated jacket and ended up in a T-shirt. It's supposed to be above freezing for the next week, getting up 70°. I'm glad. I have so much stuff to get done.

So windy my house is physically shaking now. The fact that west wall of my home sits on top of a north/south ridgeline 60' over a creek and open farm fields probably exposes my home to more of the westerly winds.

Getting hail too. Weather radio is squeaking about tornados, but those all seem to be reported somewhat north of my home.

Waiting for this to go through.
The wind is picking up.
It's going to be wicked.

It was a strange day.

The morning started off totally overcast which wasn't surprising as thunderstorms were forecast for early afternoon. Then lo and behold, the clouds broke up and it turned in to a beautiful sunny day with an 80°F temperature at noon. Then the clouds rolled in again and the wind came up. We were put under a tornado watch for a few hours. Thunder rolled around in the distance and I got hit by a few drops of rain but that was it. The wind dropped, the clouds broke up and it was a gorgeous sunny late afternoon and evening.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring in beautiful East Texas.

You can keep it. For once this winter the big storm cell went south of the great lakes. Normally it comes up through Minnesota, hits Duluth and splits. What goes north of Lake superior drops a big dump of snow while the stuff that heads south comes as rain. I just looked at the forecast and my area is supposed to get nailed this week again.

We're getting nailed hard right now with very strong winds along with sleet and snow coming down. Maybe a foot of snow fell since last night and it's not supposed to let up until this evening. All schools are canceled.

We missed the last two weather events in Iowa. Started working corn stalk ground yesterday.
Dry on the West side of the state.

Not a whole lot of accumulation as it's VERY windy. The highways are open but all schools are closed. It was originally forecast to drop 15-25cm of snow but we're right on the edge of snow and rain so it's all sleet.

I've got the Toledo 11 Weather app.
That said, severe weather today.
Again 😬😐
Crazy. High of 84 here, just a few hours south of you. I read a tornado touched down in Youngstown. And storms injured and killed more in the southern states.

We're right in the middle. Lake superior acts like a great divide splitting up the big storm cells with the the southern half of the cell going directly east and dropping rain. What splits off and comes north hits us as snow.

We have waves of heavy thunderstorms, high winds and tornado warnings rolling through the area.

Seems like most of the real problems are NORTH, NORTHEAST and NORTHWEST of me. 10 to 20 miles away in all those directions there has been 1" hail (that is 2.54cm for your northern people), a few tornado sightings but none that touched down. Whole area is getting calm sky, followed by heavy rain, followed by calm sky. I have not seen hail here. Another wave seems to be starting up now.

Temperature is unseasonably warm, it was 72 when I got up and took the dogs out at 5am. Thermometer is showing 70 degrees now.

About an hour ago the talking weather heads on WGN9 News were the only people we saw on their broadcast as they alternated between the hot girl weather mistress and the handsome young weatherman. Paul the bald/crabby/sarcastic weather head apparently has a vacation day?

So basically it's just warm and rainy.

Seems like much ado about not too much. At least where I live.

There was a bad storm that came through last week. People in Holgate were without power for days.
They've issued a tornado watch for many countries an hour ago.
I'll be safe (hopefully). My apartment is single story brick. If need be I'll go to the center room (bathroom/no windows) and keep the door closed.
Keeping the phone fully charged.

We've been getting the same high winds and storms. We've had 2 power outages in as many weeks, both about 16 hours in duration.
When the storm came through last Saturday, I was driving down I-79 (the Interstate between Erie and Pittsburgh). Twice, there were trees in the right lane. Twice more, trees fell on both lanes causing traffic jams. The power company reported 637,000 customers lost power. Half of my road was out for almost 3 days.

The phones started ringing at 7 am this morning with warnings about thunderstorms and high winds starting at 7:30 and to take shelter as there was the possibility of tornados. They were off by 5 minutes. At 7:35 all hell broke loose. It was wild and wooly for a while. I had to take the trash down to the gate in the ATV while wearing a slicker suit.
It's still raining with thunder rolling around but it's not the monsoon it was at 7:30. It's supposed to be like this for the next three days. We'll see.

Well, it's after 11 pm and the thunder is still rolling around but no rain this evening ... yet.

It actually cleared up for a while between noon and 8:00 this evening but then the rumbling started again.

We actually came out of this storm in good shape. They were calling for a big dump of snow. We did get snow but mixed with the sleet and rain, what did fall mostly melted. In the end, I had around 4" of wet snow. And strong winds.

Busy day yesterday and temps in the 80's. Today temps drop to low 60's with rain. So I decided to get in a bit of the mowing last night. Started at 645 and it started raining at 730, so not even half the yard done.. And I've never before mowed in winds like we had last night. Blew my sunglasses off. Blew my hat off and I had headphones over top of the hat, so they when off too. So I mowed without sunglasses and hat the last 20 minutes and the wind about blew me away. Crazy weather system.

Crap. Sloppy. Windy. Rainy. Sleet. Snow. Ice. Yah, all those lovely adjectives that describe a winter storm are here. The highways are all closed. And they are calling for up to 25cm of snow.

Heavy sloppy wet snow this morning. All rural busses canceled for school. The kids have had a weather day every week since March break.

Just me again bitching about the weather. Lol. We're under another weather advisory. This time for wind. It's been hovering around the freezing point for days with a mixture of rain and snow. Lovely spring weather
