This just went over us. Areas further west were under a tornado watch yesterday.

This sums it up!
And it's only going to get worse as the week progresses .
Thank God for central air, and if I take my daily long walk, it's going to have to be much later in the day.

We've been under a tornado watch for most of today. Around 8pm, the skies almost turned green and the trees began whipping back and forth. I heard a loud rumble in the distance like 100 trains. It was wild. My wife got a report in a group chat of a tornado touching down less than a mile from my house. Friends of ours went and took some pictures.

Here's an overhead shot of one of the properties that got nailed with the tornado???? I took a drive and this (whatever it was) bounced along for about 10km snapping trees like twigs.

This shelf cloud right before the storm came through.
Prior to that they were saying a huge bow echo was forming and heading toward this part of Ohio.
We got a LOT of wind, hail and rain.
No damage that I'm aware of as right now.
Eeek

Well, we just got our first wave of rain. Got about a half inch in about a half hour. Supposed to start again around 5 this afternoon and go til this time tomorrow. Supposed to get about 6 inches tonight and another 6 inches tomorrow. The dust is settled.

Don't like the weather here? Wait 5 minutes. Seriously. For the past week it's been sunny and calm one minute then thunderstorms. Back to sunny. Then cloudy. The wind picks up. Then it calms. Mother nature is on her rags.

We're supposed to be getting a lot of heavy rain/wind from the hurricane/tropical storm on Wednesday.

We've been in the mid to high 20s (that's in celcius) which isn't extremely hot but the humidity is the killer. Every morning we wake up in a thick fog and everything...I mean everything is soaked. We had to leave my kids tent set up at camp when we came home yesterday as it was still soaked from condensation.

We had a "monsoon" at 2am this morning 🤪😬
All that crap has moved out now for the most part.
They're predicting 50mph winds this evening as Beryl makes his exit.
Finally..

We had an isolated storm cloud that passed near my place a few days ago. I didn't get a drop but less than 5km away, they got enough rain to wash out the highway that connects our small community to the neighboring one 10km away.

81(F) and sunny. Just got out of the swimming pool.

Planted flowers on the shady side of the this morning. We had lots of rain from the hurricane last evening/night, so the ground was soft and moist. But its been sunny and warm all day.

These spotty thunder storms we've been getting coupled with the high heat has created a VERY humid environment which hasn't been good for my body. My back is full of arthritis as is my right leg from a childhood accident. I've been using Voltaren and a535 for the muscles but can barely stand up now and put pressure on my right leg. I had a near compound fracture of the right femur at age 5. When they reset it, the doctor wasn't aware that the skin was actually caught on the bone. When the bones healed, the skin stayed attached meaning that all the leg muscles wrapped around the skin attached to the bone. There's nothing they could do to fix it that wouldn't damage the leg muscles permanently. So I just have to deal with it but in hot humid temperatures, it just burns when I stand. So, with extreme weather changes, my whole body aches.
