Wanted: Snow Trac for sale

Thats why they have the hydraulic lift for the track systeme. When they break down the just raise bith tracks and then they can be towed on there bellies!

Well I got her home ok and actually drove it around the shop today. Starts and runs great! The previous owner replaced all the tires with some aftermarket crap. I think they will all have to be replaced, I already flattened one. I will try to get some pictures posted soon.

I may be in the market for two brass boggie wheels, anyone have a source? Not sure how well it will work without them.

Motor seems to be in great shape, variator works great, pretty stiff shifting may need to rebuild the transmission.......

First pictures in her new yard!

Has that been converted to the 12V or is it still 6V? I would assume that with the newer 12V winch it has been converted already. Paint looks like it is fairly new, either that or not much use.

Nice looking though, :thumb: even if it doesn't say Imp on the side....:poke:

They could be wheel barrow tires. Everyone of them is however a Trelleborg tire with the exception of the big tires which are Bombardier. Trelleborg 300x100 4.00-100 6 ply (most are marked #991)

Thanks for pointing out the loose track Mike, as usual you were correct. The left side track is a bit loose.

Do you have a manual yet? If not PM BSKURKA for one. In the mean time to tighten them or to check for proper fitment pull drive straight forward for at least 25 yards or so. Then let her coast to a stop. Place a straight edge on the rear big wheel and the upper single boggie and measure the gap between the track and the straight edge. The gap should be 1-3/16" to 1-9/16". Make sure its the same on both sides. The adjustment is on the inside of the rear big wheel. I believe its 1-1/8" nut but thats from memory and not sure. After you tighten that nut drive the Trac another 10 yards or so straight forward. Re-measure gap.

Bob and I have been working on getting all of his manuals on-line. They are now available for free download at:

It should be pointed out that I am not a very computer savvy propeller head :hide: and I can't quite figure out how to edit the files that Fred is hosting. I'm trying. :smileywac I'm just baffled by some of it.

On the other hand, I'm also working on getting a couple other manuals for different machines so we may be expanding our selection of manuals soon!

A manual did come with this ST4. If you want a copy of it let me know. Bob should have copies of all the other manuals I have. I think I have 9 now.

Mike,
Please keep posting what I have started to refer to it as "Mike's How Too Segment". I rarely post any comments but I read and archive almost every "volume".
