Congrats Erik. At least you found out about the MF dealer early on. If he'll string you along and tell you half truths during the sale process how could you trust him when it comes to repairs and what not.
The Mahindra sounds nice. Now you'll have to go to the Farm show to see your tractor on display! Are you buying this from Jeremy's dealership? Kinda sounds that way from the back and forth with you two.
Yeah, Jeremy doesn't work for the dealership - he works for the factory that makes the Mahindra loaders. I'm expecting REALLY good service on this loader... heh. Sad thing is the MF guy is a Mahindra dealer, too - but his prices are unreal, and I really did not appreciate the way he works. 2-3 emails a week asking about when I'm going to come buy, until I make actual interested noises, then all of a sudden, nothing.... I realize it's likely some sort of control game/power trip for him, and maybe not even on purpose, but it cost him this sale and future recommendations.
When a dealer is dealing on a tractor and the customer tells him about the tractor he'll trade in, the time line is not totally controlled by the dealer. The customer might have backed out or put off his purchase which domino's and affects Erik's purchase. So I didn't mean to jump on the dealer to hard. He probably did expect to have the MF there when he said, then when the customer does not show up with it, what's a guy to do. That part is not in his control.Yeah, Jeremy doesn't work for the dealership - he works for the factory that makes the Mahindra loaders. I'm expecting REALLY good service on this loader... heh. But as a buyer of the one coming in, communication to that effect could make the difference. When a dealer is dealing on a tractor and the customer tells him about the tractor he'll trade in, the time line is not totally controlled by the dealer.
