I have an older Ingersoll Rand (IR) tow behind air compressor. http://dlnjumhieeujc.cloudfront.net...ec7b8949/f966f5cf121a4126a006ddfe9e8e1f68.jpg
IR sold that division to Doosan Bobcat 15 years ago. Tech support is hard to find now as all of that era tech support people have retired by now.
My problem is the engine won’t drive the air end. I smell rubber when I run the engine. Without separating the engine from the air end I am leaning toward the drive coupler failing. Separating them is not a small project. I found a new coupler from Doosan for $480.
Anyone here have any thoughts or experience with large air compressors?
