submit your photo's for new snowcat embroidery designs

Karin, You do great work!! Please feel free to use my avatar (quartered shot) if it is helpful. I can provide better shots if you are interested.

I do have two styles of Spryte's designs done (two door and 4 door) and an Imp... I'm not good remembering the model names/numbers, but I do have those designs already :)

teledawg sent me a link to ''Beton Extra Bold'' TTF that is similar to the trac-master font, but it's not a free download - I've been searching for something close that is a free download - anybody know of another font that is like this? Or know where I can download the Beton one free?

I've created my own version of a TrueType Font the the TRAC-MASTER lettering. It also includes the characters to spell SNOW-MASTER and SNOW-TRAC.

See the attached .ZIP file the the font.:clap::clap:

Be sure to use the En-Dash between the C and M as in tracC-Master or the W and M as in snoW-Master. And use the Em-Dash between the W and T as in snoW-Trac

Wpw! This is great! I would not have ever known how to do that! Thanks!

They need to read SNOW-MASTER or TRAC-MASTER , correct? I will have to use a dash from another file since this one doesn't have it?

Attached find a revised TrueType Font, Version 1.1. I fixed some of the kerning pairs. Also included in the .ZIP file is a MS-Word .DOC file that has a sample of the font in it.

The dashes are included in the font, but not as the regular '-' dash key as most are used to using. They are includesd as the En and Em Dash chacters.

SNOWTRAC
SNOWMASTER
TRACMASTER

You can use the Windows "Character Map" system tool to view the font after you have installed it to see what characters are included.

I'm not sure what you mean by the 'En and Em Dash Characters' ?

I installed it to my fonts folder where the embroidery lettering program reads from, but still no dash? I must be doing something wrong :)

The En-Dash and Em-Dash are special charactar codes that are normally used to represent typographic dashes in typeseting lingo. The normal dash key on a PC keyboard is actually a hyphen or minus character, not a true dash at all. To enter these special characters you have to use the Alt+numeric pad method.

To enter the En-Dash from a PC keyboard hold down the Alt key and type 0150 on the numeric keypad.

To enter the Em-Dash hold down the Alt key and type 0151 on the numeric pad.

Now that's new to me! Wow! OK, so on your TRAC-MASTER shirts, do I use the 0150 or the 0151? I'm guessing the 0150 because it's shorter? The longer dash is for the SNOW-TRAC?

Yes, your a correct. Use Alt+0150 for TRAC–MASTER and SNOW–MASTER and Alt+0151 for SNOW—TRAC.

well, I hope this lettering will work! It wasn't an easy font to work with, but here it is :)

I got a new design done! Anybody recognize this machine?
This one I stitched on a 2X gray tee - ready to go now before hubby snags it, LOL!

Karin,

Sent these pics of my TUCKER 1542 to you via your email address and attached the photos but here are the ones I sent so that forums could see also.

Tucker is still the King!

Nice rig. Wished I had the moola and time to have one.
When I worked in Bloomington Minnesota there was a Tucker Sno-Cat dealer in the same building I worked. Don't know if they are still there or not but they moved them things in a out.

Thanks Murph

I like the Tucker, it has to be our favorite, kind of nostalgic in a way. We have an LMC 1500 and a Thikol Super Imp, but seem to like the looks of the Tucker the best.

I found the company. I worked right next to this place back in 1985

Track Incorporated.

Virtual Earth View... He always had a lot of used cats.

I think that company is still there. I bought a used drag from them about a year ago. I got a little tour of some machines they had inside. It was my first viewing of some of those huge Tuckers "live". They were certainly impressive. I don't remember seeing as many units in their lot as your virtual earth pictures indicate. I think I'll be visiting my son and his family who live only about a mile or two from there on Valentine's Day. If my wife brings a good book to read while I drool over the snowcats I might stop by.

Yeah I am sure the pic is a few years old. Back in the early 80's when I was working there the lot was always full and even in the back of the building they had a bunch of them.

I got the vintage Tucker design stitched out! Hubby wants a shirt with this design even though he doesnt' have a Tucker - he just likes this design, LOL. Hopefully I will have a chance to get this design put on eBay today :)

My sweatshirt arrived today - I am thrilled with it. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Snowtracs are the BEST!
