ST4's, "THE MOTHER LODE"

OK your closing in on the location, now for the name of the Business:
3 sylables: One is in the Title, the second is part of ST4's original MFG name, and the third rymes with and is part of the title to the 5 Snow Cat Threads. I don't know if I still have any pictures of these machines, but they are all EX- Northwest Tell, and the Snow Master is one of the vary last machines ever produced, serial Number is something like 2314! In pristine condition. It will be interesting to see how many calls the owner,(John) gets once someone figgures out the name> Round 2.

Is it listed in the Yellow Pages Business listing: http://www.yellowpages.ca

Oh I think I found them! BUT I am not in the market. Also remember some of those Google earth pictures are really old so even though they can be seen they may not be there! A Recon is in order!

Sorry about that, I didn't actually "Fall off the face of the Earth", But close! It's -49 today, -81 with the Wind Chill. We had a "Safety Stand Down" all morning. Do you have any idea how hard the seat of a truck gets at that temperature?! It's like sitting on a concrete Bench, or steel welding table only a lot colder. My computer froze too! Seems hard drives don't operate below -25 and someone left my office door open last night. Had to get someone else's computer. The Safety stand down used up half of my day so I'll have to sign off for awhile and do some ot the stuff they actually pay me to do.

YES, it would be in the Yellow Pages.

Did Lyndon "Fall off the face of the earth" for real this time?
Just gonna leave the ones of us to sloooooooooow too figure this out hangin?

Is the original manufacturer "AB Westeråsmaskiner"?

I cant figure out the reference to the 5 snow cat threads. There are 6 cats in this thread. Anyone have any input on this reference?

I thought he was referring to this...

What do I have to beat it out of you? First Sylable: What rymes with Bold and IS the "Mother Lode".>
Second sylable: Westermaskiner's literal translation: (it's in various VW Articles I wrote)
Third Sylable: Part of the Name of one or more of the 5 thread categories that means "Explore" or "exciting Trip".

I thought about calling the owner to see if he would sell any of them..............but what the hell would I do with another snow trac, let along one I would have to freight back from NWT! I do however have his phone number. Let the game continue...........hehe

The Mother Lode is;"Gold"
Westermaskiner translates literally to "Hill" Top, or Ridge Top Machine works.
"Ventures" is part of the thread heading 'ADVENTURES'

GOLD HILL VENTURES

Um - Would that be "Golden Hill Ventures", 30 Laberge Rd? Sat pix is somewhat fuzzy but there are orangish lumps down there..

The 3 older ST4's in the back row are machines number 170,171, & 173. there were hand cranks, vintage tail lights(1938-44 War vintage) on all machines, the side tear drops(inverted), Porsche turnsignal switch, I don't remember weather there were any horn buttons. Also these early units had the modified Bus, Oil Bath Air cleaners. The fact that they were almost consecutive serial numbers was very attractive. Something you will never see again! I would kind of like to think that someone gives them a good home instead of seeing them rot away in some junckyard.

I may have a buyer for all three of the Snow-Trac's in Whitehorse.
Can anyone please confirm the Golden Hill Ventures information?
Thanks!

The owners name is Jon Rudolph and I have left several voice messages, which go unreturned. Try your luck

:yankchain:
The 'under boss' is supposed to call me back on Monday.
We'll see what happens but the person I spoke to today asked if I was looking for parts or a whole machine.
Might just turn out to be a gold mine.
I'll keep ya' posted!

Alright boys and girls. I received TWO calls today from Golden Hills Ventures. They do in fact have the SnowTrac's however they are not looking to sell them at this time.
Bummer...really...bummer...
