AKA LILVIXEN
John and I would like to express our gratitude for all your condolences and prayers. Harley was so very special to us, and we will never forget him, he has taken up residence in a special part of our hearts.
After our Harley left us, I knew that we couldn’t have a house that didn’t have a Lab in it so I did some looking on the web and found a breeder that was within driving distance from us. I contacted her and she had two 11 week old labs, and two 4 week old labs. I asked John if we could go look to see what her pups looked like, with no plans on bringing a pup home with us. We were so impressed with her facilities and the way she cared for her dogs. She was not a puppy farm, but a caring and compassionate dog lover. Her dogs are very well behaved and so easy going. There was a big black lab male that came in where the pups were and I assumed he was the sire with his reaction to the pups, but he was just one of her other boys, he just looked at them when they bumped up against or bit him.
Both John and I had never seen so many dogs that looked so healthy. Their coats were beautiful. Needless to say one of the 11 week olds stole our hearts.
When John put him on the driveway at our house, he started to run up the hill and John said “Run Forrest run” and now we have a Forrest in our family. Mona the dachshund doesn’t like Forrest yet, but then she didn’t like Harley when we brought him home.
Thank you all again, it is comforting to know that we have friends we can express our hopes and fear to.
