Rusty's antique and vintage thread

Rusty:: Load that thing with a pack of chicken thighs..let them cook for 4-5 hrs..Dig out the bones..and spoon in some bisquick...mmmm! Chicken N Dumplins..when the dumplins are gone you have creamed chicken..great over toast..mmm!:whistling:

OMG! We had that exact same cooker back in the late 70's. One of the boys thought they could heat chili up on the stove and cracked it and made one hell of a mess. They are great for making all kinds of food in. You scored excellent on that.

Nice Rusty!
I had one similar, but it was solid orange.
Used it ALL the time back in those days.
The inner crock comes out, right?

Nope, this one is put in fast. I don' think the first few were separable.
We are doing buffalo chicken dip for the reunion today. We have a couple other slowcookers but they are way to big, and lack the charachter of our 'new' one :D

Just showed the wife this cooker. She remembers it well. Would make a good mid sized one for us.

Make an offer :brows:

Anyway, still at it, and still haven't sold a damn thing :yum:
Recently picked up an old Brownie move camera for free from a friend, but I can't test it, and from what I see, they only sell for 5 bucks without the case and literature. Mine has neither. Also got a free bag full of Hess Trucks, all working, but not old enough to be worth a lot, and no packaging. But hey, they were free, and I figure I can get 5 bucks a pop for 'em. Other than that, I haven't had much time to pick stuff up, but hopefully once I get settled in the new job and things calm down after the holidays, I can put a real effort at it in the spring.
