Post a ride clip!

I operated at terra tucker 2000, 5 years ago. The track surface area compared to weight is OK if the trail is packed, but try and break trail in fresh powder and it wallows a lot. I was in such a position, when I opened the door, the door struck the side of the trench. I had the blade all the way up and it was still pushing snow. Never got to the site, had to back down and come back after a few days when the snow had a chance to settle, then No problem.

yeah the 2000 can weigh almost double what the XL weights. I helped pull out a 2000 groomer a few years back, he was just off the side of the trail but with all that weight it wouldn't get back on the trail. they were amazed when I went around them and straight up the hill in the XL.
The other biggie is lockers, they were an option for a while but I think (if I remember correctly) they started having them standard on the XL

you know your cat is fast when you get cracks in your wind shield, :) Its probably a good thing the Krusty owners just keep them in the garage, I hear replacement glass is getting harder to come by

Your cruising right along!

Normally I don't go that fast when grooming as it kinda defeats the purpose of laying down a nice smooth ribbon behind. That trail is the main trail going from town out to the clubhouse though and is normally in excellent shape. If I recall, I wasn't pulling a drag in that video as I was heading out to hook up to our spare drag since the other one was being repaired in town.

trees in this area for anchors,
and we do have lockers front and rear, but some times lockers are your enemy on side hills, also blading uphill can be bad, it can kick the rear out..
but I felt fine with the winch hooked up just in case

I'm guessing the lockers don't let you crab into the hill? Looks like a pretty long cable on the winch.
the lockers seam to help with crabing, with all tracks spinning, but if you are trying to blade it seams to hold on better with them off, it slides quick if you break all tracks loose.

the winch line is the "blue steal" rope, 150 ft on the winch and I pack a 100 extension line also

Everyone, nice videos! Gotta love seeing these machines at work and play. Here's mine, nothing as amazing as Matt from Idaho, just a cool machine to plow snow!
