Police Interceptor - 2003 - PLEASE BUY

Did you put a "For Sale" sign in the windows on both sides and a copy of the car's NADA value next to it? If you are relying on Craig's list, you will be a bit slow on getting calls, but it does work.

You need to use all the sales tools you have, not just one source. It will sell shortly.

Do you think a set of hubcaps would help? I'm not a fan of hubcaps, but it would sure give the car a more "finished" look. I'm not talking super cheap but not expensive either. Just like in real estate, a coat of paint can do a lot. In cars, wheels do a lot. I think a $50 set of hubcaps would help the looks and not cause people to immediately think police car.

You might put an ad in autotraderonline.com I think they get as many hits as craigs list.

Hubcaps dont fit on these rims because they ARE police rims. Only a center cap and Ford wants $50 for each. They can kiss my ass. Its a little piece of tin.

I put in a different add. I lowered the price again. I also remove the Mileage part. Thanks for the heads up. :punk:

You have to hit the junkyards for the center caps. Yes, the dealer's will be expensive.

you might think about retaking the pictures, so it is less obvious there are no wheel treatments. Maybe have the front tires turned all the way to one side.

Also, are there any weekend sales spots near you? Locally, there is a weekend car sale at a local high school, and another at a local junior college. Basically, you pay $10 or something like that, to have you car there. They have lots of people selling, and get a lot of people looking. Might be worth investigating.

I would advertise it more like below. Also, was it a non-smoker car? Try to keep any extra wordage short and simple.

Where else have you advertised it? Any local penny papers or anything?

If you want to sell it, keep the price up and when you have someone that truly wants/needs that car, they will make a lower offer, if you lower it now, they will make a lower one even lower than you paid for it.... and if you say yes too easily, they will walk away figuring that something is wrong with the car.

Sales is an art, anyone can give stuff away at a loss, but you want to make your money back and a small profit, you have to have some guidelines to work from.

RNE228 had a very good description of your car that shows it more of a classy car instead of a ex-police car.... You might do well to copy and paste it on you ad, and put the signs in the window with a good phone number....
