The founding fathers are spinning in their graves when they look down and see the type of perks that the legislatures have provided for themselves. I doubt that the founding fathers had any intention of the pork barrel politics that our nation has become. I know of no other job that people will willfully spend millions of their own $$$$ to get elected to a job that pays a measly $250,000. It isn't the salary, but the perks that they get for life that make it a worth while investment.......pension..... health care.... etc.

Remember when Bush started the Tax Cuts after he took office. There was a break down of how much Tax would be saved by each member of the President's cabinet vs how much would be saved by a typical American.

I like most Americans received about $600 that year.
Woah Hooo!!! ...and let me tell you did that $600 go a long ways to simulating the economy. I am sure the members of Presidents cabinate, went and spent their check right away on stimulating the economy too!! I am sure of it.

Bob, how much did you get that year and what did you spend it on?? Or did you put it away in your checking account to pay for bills that you already had like most Americans?

Don't you think you are stretching the statement above a bit? The statement that corporate funded and OWNED networks favor the left is very unlikely. Just who pays there bills and salaries over there??

To me it seems like as soon as you get wind of truthful reporting which may seem to agree with statements made by the left, all the sudden makes the TV network a "left" biased network.

when all you are used to is using a hammer, everything looks lilke a nail.

you give me too much credit for being as intelligent as you think I am. I am not sure how intelligent I have to be, or the type of intelligence I need to have in order to understand anything you have said above. I would guess you are looking in the wrong place for a correlation. I am sure ArchDean has some literature which can put the two in the same boat for all of us.

You have to be on the inside to understand the lingo. It is intended to be like that to keep all the outsiders on the outside so the rest of those on the inside can continue to play without interference. Just think of "One Flew Over The Coo Coo's Nest ". I see this whole thread as a trivial annoyance rather than having any profound effect on anyones life. Possibly we might have to set up another forum for these people to play in....
