Outback adventure planned for January 2007

MBSEIG,
I will keep everyone informed. As I get closer to the completion on my snowcat I will start posting more on the trip. I am sure Mntntoppr will be another member who will attend. I am also going to try and get DMIESNER and BYOUNG to join us. Everyone is welcome to bring there cat OR maybe even get a ride with one of us. Also we have BigAls invite that I will NOT miss. So no matter what we have some excursions planned sometime early next year.

As far as the other huys complaining about a none heated tent I have a solution. The Solution is called Arctic Oven tent.

Ahhh .... there you go again . I never said my 16x20 outfitters tent was not heated . It has a killer barrel stove that will run your butt out the door it is so warm .
My thought was to put it on the top of the ranch property on a wooden floor with a deck in front . It should be ready to go for the big snow meet and it sleeps 8 in comfort . You would have to use you cat , snowmobile or snow shoe for access .
The wife and I were planning to use it to for animal watching and bar-b-Q's and as a little hide out .
So if some one wants to goes this route ,let me know and i'll reserve it for you . It has 8 Bunk beds ,wood stove, complete kitchen, and I will add a little outhouse out back for you "ladies with indoor plumbing" . Maybe a 2 seater !!!

Not sure if this was the thread, but it looks close enough. Below is a link to a good write-up on the route of this winters proposed snow cat expedition and a map of the proposed route known as the Magruder Corridor.
