Oh Well!!!

You could have mounted a hitch on the front of the tractor or truck that you're towing the trailer with. Makes wiggling that wagon around a whole lot easier!

Yup the old 50 had one of those! Used to park the header trailer mostly...

I dont think I ahve ever gotten to tell anyone about a great idea I had one time. I had a 16 ft procraft bass boat with a 75 hp Merc. I took my then 7 or 8 year old boy fishing one day and a big strom blew up. I could tie off at the dock if I tied off the ropes real tight, so we went and backed the trailer back to the usual depth. Problem is it was a very very strong cross wind. i tried a couple of times to time it out so I could punch it onto the trailer but the wind cought me and actually spun me around on one of the rollers on the trailer, lucky I did not damage the boat. I really did not know what I was going to do. So I had my son pull out the winch strap as far as he could. he went down wind fron the trialer a little so the boat could not hit him. i pulled up as far as a could and he snapped the hook on the bow of the boat. I then reversed against the wind and pulled the strap taut. I kept a little reverse on the motor, enough to keep the boat striaght on the trialer, but not enough to keep my son from being able ot pull the boat with the wench. ended up pulling the boat straight up on the trailer, dead striaght. got one stern tied down on her and pulled her right out of the water with no problem. I thought that was one heck of an idea. Oh well, always wanted to tell someone, probably already have when I was drinking.
