No no, I was referring to the way most of you guys believe the rest of the world in general view the US, i was not referring to the UN.

I think the US has more friends than you realise.

I think you are right and I am reasonably pessimistic about the friends the US has. For the most part I think the US stands with only a small group of "real" friends. On many occasions I think we have "friends of opportunity." Perhaps you are right and I am wrong. That would certainly be a nice thing, and I hope you are correct.

If the North Koreans were to attack us, then we would be just as quick to retaliate as the Russians or the Chinese.

But those same countries urge restraint by the U.S. when we are threatened.

Being threatened is a lot different than being attacked. Also, I don't believe that we are threatened, but I do see this as more threatening to Japan and some of the other countries that we consider as allies. There is no doubt in my mind that the North Koreans know that if they were to make any kind of strike against the US, that the full might of the US would come down on them before the Russians or Chinese would even have a chance to comment. I see the North Koreans as just strutting to get our attention and they hopefully think they will get some of our money in relief aid. Personally, I think that we should stop giving other Nations aid and start taking care of our country first. Charity begins at home....
 
S.Korea and Japan are smart enough to see through them and have shut off the aid... All this saber rattling is for more, free, food and goods.. This time, everyone should shut them off and maybe Kim fu Pu Pu may smarten up..

Finally. Someone who sees it like me! I say no more aid of any kind period! EVER AGAIN! Even if they bring all of there missiles and manufacturing equipment to make them onto a pad a burn it. Who cares. this is a nation that needs to die. Make sure no one can cross into S. Korea and let FN China and Russia take care of there bastard child. Why in the hell have we kept these a$$!&@oles A float all these years. Let the Chineese send billions in aid. Watch how fast they get that ass@%$# back at the table and keep him at his word. BUT I say to late they are cut off period!
 
just think of the bright side,,, everyone cut off all N.K freebies, where China is forced to help out,.,. It will drain China as a slow, slow death, until China wakes up, walks over and takes it over or drops them... In the meantime,, we can get our gas/diesel prices down another 1.50 per gallon.. After all, every time NK sneezes, Osama B.L was seen in some outhouse or other,, it causes the fuel costs to rise
