Nodwell FN60

Fair enough. Of course once we finish laughing at the looks of your Nodoff, we'll really start to poke fun of it. :thumb:

Ok that was my steering brakes apart. I decided that there was not enough wear to bother relining them. I put it back together and called it good.

I also redid the flexible hoses to the slave cylinders. I love swedgeloc fittings so nice to use. I wanted to buy new slave cylinders but they are stupid expensive. $900+ dollars each! I took them apart cleaned and inspected them, and decided to keep them. I bled everything and adjust the brakes (a nut under that screwtop cap) it steers ok now! I just need to put the deck on before the snow flies... I guess I better get on that soon!

I got the deck on a few weeks ago. I cut a door into the middle of the headache rack and put a hinge and latch on it. I also put a hinge on the transmission hatch. It has been just hanging around not attached for the last few years. All I have to do is bolt down the deck and I am ready to play this year. pictures when I remember my camera....

In your pictures and others I've seen, in front of the rear end is a round tank, about 7" in diameter, that goes from frame rail to frame rail. It has hoses going to it from the rear end. What's it for?

Is it an expansion tank for when the rear end gets hot? Does it just hold extra oil for the hot oil of the rear end to circulate through so that it cools off? Or???

Thanks,
Bill
