Nodwell FN60

Hi,
I'm fairly new to this forum. I have owned my nodwell for a few years. It used to be owned by a ski club that was trying to make a ski hill. They never got it done and this nodwell just sat parked, blocked in by a dump truck for 10-12 years. I found it and gave it a good home. I have been fixing it off and on and using it once in a while for a few years. here, i'll put up some pics:

it was kinda rough, still is actually

Ok that post went well I'll add some more:

The spedometer goes up to 100MPH! and only .9 miles on it! Its like new right? No, it was never hooked up.

I modified them a bit. I made them 2 straps instead of 4. and about an inch wider. This job was a lot of work, those tracks are 17 feet long...

Those are all the pics I have already hosted and handy.
It looks mostly like that right now.
Recent work:
I shortened both tracks by 1 grouser each. and tensioned.
I rebuilt/repaired both steering slave cylinders again.
I replaced the flex hoses to the slave cylinders.
flushed/bled/tested/adjusted/adjusted/adjusted the steering brakes.

It still needs:
bodywork
paint
windows
might be a coolant leak
recover the bench seat
maybe some tires

I have several projects on the go at once so I work on the one that is the most fun at the time usually....

I don't think its a swap. when I was looking for info on it and pictures I found one at an auction site with the same cab listed as a 2002 model.

Ok it looks like I lost some pictures above^^
so I'm going to try uploading them to this site.
These are my old kitten just before I sold it.

It took me a while to find out the owner etc. These pics are from April 9 05.

OK flash forward a year and I have it at my yard. These pics are from May 15 06. We played around with the engine and got it running with a fresh battery and a new coil.S4020108.jpg

So after that slow start the next job was getting the old tracks off and apart. then getting some conveyor belt and making go back together. This is a lot of work. I had a few friends and my Dad helping. (edit: pics are from June 8 06)

It took about 5 hours to get the track back on. I got it home the same day and learned a lot about trail repairs.

This one is from March 30 2007. It is by far my most over-produced video ever. I played around with the speed etc to keep it from being boring. I never forget to latch down the cab anymore...

March 31 2007. I think you can notice my extreme caution when it starts going downhill. I'm a little scared of it tipping the cab. I'll get used to it with more experience. I don't have anyone available to teach me driving techniques so I am winging it.

Excellent videos and pictures. I bet those wide belts halp allot with the floatation in the deeper snow. I think you did a good thing going to a two belt design with the tracks. Our last machine(same as the one we have now) had four belts per track and seemed to have less flotation that this one with a two belt design. What are your plans for this machine?

Well, I hope to get new windows and some bodywork done. I can groom a few trails for the local snowmobile club. I might have a line on some other winter work for the local pulp mill. I have to have it fully functional and looking good for that tho.

Hey I looked at your pictures and videos in your links. Kewl machines! I liked the "show them to me" video. I also saw a shopped pic of your machine pulling out a kristie...

Me? Not so much. :glare:

Of course it had to be photo-shopped 'cause in real life a Kristi would be pulling out the LameTrac.
