OK Frank, next time I'm at your house, I'll put it in. ;)

I didn't say it since Junk had already mentioned it, but if I were still in your area, I probably would have made the trip to Canada.

Brian : don't think i can hold it that long:eek: and when is the last time you tried to cross the border, sometimes can take hours, without anything to declare, but if this new terlit (Archie speak) don't work out i just might make the trip and do it. but this toilet should work as advertised and if not i will make the wife use the outhouse (as soon as i can dig a hole) :coolshade boy that should get a rise out of any ladies on the forum:wave:

Frank,

I avoid the borders all I can. I went from Detroit to the Buffalo area earlier this year and intentionally took the long way (south end of the lake) as it was probably faster than crossing the border in Detroit and again at the Peace Bridge.

Well Briam could not wait for u to install the new Toilet so finally got around to it today. was not bad except the new design ed toilet would not install, because the water line comming up thro the flaoor was in the way, had to cut the copper line and drill a new hole, got th toilet in and then had probles with the old water line, nothing line up so i had to completly redo it. Like i said i got the unit with the 3" flapper for a quicker surge of water, only thing wrong with that is the flapper is so big and heavy it wants to close quick, solved that problem by just holding the flush handel down 1 sec, allows all the water to escape (for a better flush) plus it takes few sec. longer for the tank to fill thus making the water level in the bowl a little higher. seems to work quite well.

Hey Frank, for what it is worth, I managed to get over to my brother's new house and did a test flush of his TOTO toilet. It worked great. But I think I like Kohler better. With a name like TOTO I just kept expecting a little dog to come up and poke its cold nose somewhere I didn't want it.

as i said Bob i looked at the Toto brand, and did not see anything special about them (except for the price) + the vendor must have thought i was a Yahoo and did not want to waste his time with me (no pun intended) The Kohler seems fine but need to get used to the added height of the comfort height toilet. 2" higher makes a lot of difference to a little guy like me.

2" higher, when you're expecting it, can make for a hard landing :moon:

Oh man....have you ever been going down the stairs in the middle of the night, and the lights are off, and you think you have one more step to go, but you actually dont, and then you try to step down one more, and it feels like you are going to put your foot trough the floor into the basement.

Other way around too, going up and you think you have one more to go, and try to step up into thin air.

Sucks.
