Well things are not good in the east. When backing the groomer out of the shop to bring it home this morning it wouldnt turn to the left. After checking the hydraulics and everything else and finding nothing wrong. I pulled the diff cover to check the bands, this is when my world turned black to day. One of the band was a new one from bombardier ( came with all the parts I got with the machine.) The other I had rlined at a local machine shop. Now he assures me he used a lining that is ment to be in oil. But the material has turn to a slimey mess. So after talking to a lot of people ( Brian Sweeney at camoplast being one of them ) I would not use any thing but The brake lining that they sell, it just sounds like a better product to me. It is not cheap $285 for material to do one band, but if I had used it the first time my groomer would be sitting at my house and not still take up space in my shop! I think I saw a thead that someone was going to have some relined just becareful of the material that they use.
