If he shows up for the service, he shows up and I DO want him to be there, because after all, this is his Aunt. and I know he wants to be there for me.
The thing is, the rest of the family don't want him around.. so I am caught between a rock and a hard place.

Don't feel that you're "between a rock and a hard place". Funerals are not the place to decide whom can come. A wedding, maybe but definitely not a funeral.

Well I wasn't.
He showed up and all went well, just like I knew it would.

There were more hugs and laughter than tears today, and I do mean that!
Julie looked beautiful and at peace, all in pink and white.
No more pain and suffering.

So glad to hear things went as they should. Her suffering is over and she can make the journey to be with mom and dad. Nice that folks had a chance to catch up with each other and smile and laugh.

Well, it's over folks.
Was a good day with a sad ending, but that's normal.
Had a relative take some shots on her iPhone today.
Waiting for her to send more.
First, my rock and number one son.. Jeff.
HE has been so good in being there for everyone, 'specially his Mommy.
He was a pall-bearer for Julie.

To whomever sent the beautiful angel wind chime to the funeral home last night, I think I know who you are even tho it came in without a signed card other than saying To Loralei.
It's hanging on my garden shed now.
