My mother went into the hospital last Tuesday. Originally, they were thinking meningitis, but later confirmed pseudomonosis. Just this AM, they moved her into CCU. Those who can, pray for her please, she needs all the help she can get.

You got it Lobo. Good thoughts and prayers on the way.

I've been doing a lot a praying lately, it Mom Lobo's turn ............. on the way!

It seems my mother had a heart attack this morning brought on by the systemic stress of the infection. She is now off the big mask and able to speak. She is mostly coherent but very weak. I really hope god doesn't need his angel back because we need her here so bad. I;m really scared and afraid right now.

Momma is some better, resting well right now. will update later this Pm or tomorrow dependin on when I am back at the keyboard/

Thoughts from here to you Lobo and your Mom. God has a plan for his angel, whether it be here or there.

Thanks guys, Momma grinned when I told her prayers were coming for Momma Lobo. Ya'll made her day. She is comfortable now and the nurse said the heart attack was over and now it was just recovery. Having to wait for a Cath until her fever is under control.

Update. 50% heart function. She has been moved out of CCU but they are still fighting the infection. Can't seem to locate the underlying cause.

It's been a bad day. Mom's white cell count was down this AM, so they gave her a transfusion. She started hurting in her left side and they took her down for a CAT scan. Seems her spleen decided to make like a sieve and was leaking blood. About 4 pm they took her into surgery and removed her spleen. She is currently back in CCU with vitals stable.

Momma is off the ventilator, awake and aware. Tired and hurting, but I gues that would be normal. They only shortly started letting her have ice. Strange thing is, they now think one of her blood pressure medicines started this whole cycle of problems. Seems the meds could have caused her white cell count to drop, allowing the infection. The rest is a snowball effect.

I'm glad to here Your Mom is ok Lobo , continued prayers for a quick recovery. Also glad they caught the problem with the meds so quick it seems that happens far to often . :flowers:
