Midwest Cat CLOWDER 2016

Yes the KT-4 is a special treat to have in attendance.

I heard it wet itself out of fear, with all the other tuckerness around it.

Ironically, I got blamed for it.

I think next year we need to fill it with hot water and then make the parade lap to the ALPEN. mobile jacuzzi!

My 2nd year at Clowder in the powder. First time going on the trail ride. Such an awesome time hanging out with great people and getting to run the machines through the beautiful Forests of Michigan. Will definitely make it every year. Hope to have my own machine in five years. Tried to post pics but it won't let me.

Copper Peak is such an impressive place.. Until you see the scale of it up close and personal it is hard to understand the magnitude of this awesome place..

Here is a drone video of Copper Point that best illustrates the shear size of the ramp and ski jump hill.. 345 ft. 42 story tall ramp...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1s9ASdwII8

Shot with a drone. Very nice vid..

Thanks Kirk. I had fun making that video. From where I was standing in the parking lot when I was flying, it was just a tiny dot up at the top of the jump.

Here is video of the Tucker doing some grooming at Powderhorn on Jan 21st.

:wow: What a great time as always.... I was really dragging last night and I didn't have very far to go but made multiple trips yesterday.

The wet spot specimen was sent to the hospital and we are awaiting the results from the lab...... It was pretty unusual when it decided to wet itself since the only machine close to it was a Thiokol 201 that lives with it :yum:

Until the results come back I will post a pic of the best way to change the oil or something like that..... :whistling:

Re: Midwest Cat CLOWDER 2016 (crews explained)

I had a classic camera Fail at this years event..... so I am at the mercy of stealing photos from various sources.

Here is a couple of photos to help explain the event.

Tuesday thru Thursday are arrive and drive events from new equipment and vintage alike.

Friday is the trek to Lake Gitchegumee. (superior)

Saturday is the show and shine, Over the snow agility and Racing Program, Concludes with a BPH, CLowder sponsored dinner program.

Saturday night into sunday AM is hard to explain, but you really don't want to miss it.:whistling:

As I find photos I will share them here. there is a video of a Yellow snow cat making sleeping children Giggle and exclaim faster, FASTER! when that pops up I will link it here as well. Until then....

Finally made it to the site !! Thanks to everybody this last weekend , words cant describe the feeling I got when we finally got to run the Super Imp . The clowder was our first real test run after yard sailing the whole she bang 4 months ago . Wouldn't have happened without the help of key people - Hospitality at the mountain is top notch on every level , got to make some new friends and had great conversations all weekend long !! Some of the best brews I've sampled in a long time as well :) can't wait for next year , keep the beacon side up !!

Did anyone record or capture the motorsport results.

I only entered the drag racing (and promptly was eliminated) but there were other events.

I see some photos on the snow grooming magazine of the awards but did anyone get some photos of the head to head action?

I was out exploring the area so sadly I missed this part of the festivities and would love to see some video!

Cheers.

Next year I have to get this on film. I went to get lunch and when I came back it was all done. Dang! It would help if we could post a start time so more people could come over and watch. I know there were other folks just as disappointed as me that missed it.

Yes, getting video footage of an attempt at drag racing a 1542 Tucker with Ski boots on was a real loss. (sarcasm here) I would have never thought dumping the clutch and mashing the throttle would have been so difficult... turns out getting out of the machine was worse than driving it in that condition...... I need to remember to bring my soft boots out of the lodge...
there has to be photos......
