Looking for a Skidozer (5 person cab)

I’ve been waiting for Redsqwrl to “put his pile up for sale” from the 2021 start of “crazy town” pricing…..but no luck! I’m in search of another Bombardier project….and feel the Skidozer would be a great big brother addition to the SW-48 and the Bombi I’ve refurbished over the years. As a recent empty nester (son a freshman at Purdue)….it’s time to get on another Bombardier journey!

If anyone knows of one sitting in a field/barn/being rotated out of inventory ….the “yeah, I’ll refurbish that some day” snowcat owner…please let me know who to make an offer to. If I can buy it, I’ll figure out where to get parts (I do miss Brad…he was fantastic to work with, good guy!).

Thank you in advance.

Bob

Asked…..and received!! Our fellow member 1boringguy sold me his stock Bombardier 252-G ! Had it delivered last weekend…..and it’s in incredible shape for its age (1986). Did a quick rebuild of the carburetor this weekend, runs like a top! I’ll start a rebuild thread soon and bring this beauty back to like new. Now the search for seals, bogies and track begins.

Thank you again 1boringguy!!

Bob

Tracks, flexitors, idlers, 6 way blade, runs like a top. Ide like to keep the rear compactor but dont have too.
Undy did an expert job preparing this rig. Undy bought it from brad and it did provided service for a backyard ski facility. It moved here to service a townships x-country ski trails. It was out yesterday and never misses a beat.

I knew you had a Skidozer redsqwrl !! Though I was looking for a big cab (the one I got is for a family….and then some). Has the same drive train as the SW48…..carb is the Holley 1940….gave it a rebuild over the weekend, ran well! 1boringguy kept this beauty up! Now to start the journey….a full rebuild!

How you feeling?

Bob

Im doing great. Memory is fuzzy but as the drs say, no deficiencies. Im happy to be here to complain about the headaches.

You need another bombardier for parts. (Its a rule)
Fwiw, in addition to undys machine, I have a 301 (2man) that doesnt have its differential chunck. 300 six auto

Love seeing these Bombardier projects come back to life! Sounds like you've got a solid machine to work with, Bob. That Holley 1940 rebuild must’ve been satisfying......nothing like getting an old engine purring again. Curious to see how the full rebuild goes.....are you planning any upgrades or keeping it true to original?

Also, gotta agree with Redsqwrl...… you can never have too many Bombardiers for parts. It’s practically a rite of passage!

Hello all
A little late to respond to Bobcatbob on his search for a Skidozer. Great find !
I have a 1990 Skidozer with double cab, Perkins 4cyl turbo diesel, double cab, 6 way blade. It's in great shape runs and drives great. Could use paint, passenger side lower window is cracked, couple of foam filled tires are ready to be changed but still working fine .
I'm in no hurry but will be looking to sell. It's been a really fun machine!
Enjoy your new Skidozer. If anyone has interest in mine lmk. Located in Colorado.

That’s a great looking Skidozer! I like the plow! I’ve got “one of these” for snow removal though….love the Bombardiers!
