Welcome, to the insanity. Well this is the place to get help. Make yourself at home, plenty of us have been there.

How are you making out with this project? I have an open top 1402 that I use to get to my cabin. It doesn't have the front Boggie wheels and never had a cab. I added a second row of seating and rebuilt the tracks. It's been very reliable. Glad to see another one.

Whoot whoot. I see the mcguffy guy was talking repower. I snagged a 1402 air cooled like yours and i really like the wisconsin v4 power plant and hand clutch.

I only have a wind screen. But im thinking we need a aircooled imp thread. Turbinator mcguf, u and me and duffy from jersey maybe someday we could outnumber tuckers at an event if we tried...

I think the 1402's have gone the way of the dinosaurs. I don't think Duffy from N.J. has his anymore? I don't miss not having a cab, the visibility is great, and it keeps the sound down from the motor. I just replaced the brake bands and the missing Imp and Thiokol emblems. I also wired side marker lights. I like the Wisconsin V4. It's handy to be able to hand crank the motor if the battery has gotten low.

BAr snake.

does your amp meter move much when charging?

I hate that it lives sideways but my oil pressure of off the charts high, and the ammeter only slightly deflects.

My Amp meter doesn't tell me much, it just shakes a little back and forth. I have an alternator with a voltage regulator on mine. My oil pressure gauge pegs when the engine is started. Is that what you see?
