I'm in the hospital

Glad your ok Doc.
Them other Doc's will find a high blood pressure med to get you in good shape.

Doc........

I usually don't spend a lot of time reading the forums like I used to before my sight started failing, but tonight I just clicked on new posts and found this.. I am glad to hear that you are doing much better, and I wanted to mention that they have this new medicine that will help lower your blood pressure, reduce the risk of blood clots, make you feel a lot younger, and also make the Mrs wake up with a smile.... It is called Cialis for daily use... In less than 30 days, you can slip the boat into the water and start relaxing like you did last summer... Granted the water isn't going to be as warm, but the ice will be gone... Keep well, and I will keep praying for your steady recovery to full health and happiness...

Good call PG. That is exactly what it was and what they did. I did a stress test today. All is good with my heart. They've adjusted my BP meds, even added one that only cost me 60 cents for a 30 day supply that helps get rid of the sodium in my diet.
I was released from the hospital at 2:30 today. Already been to the drug store. They even let me walk out rather than ride in a wheel chair. :thumb:
All good for now. Thanks for the advice, good thoughts and prayers all. :thumb: :D
:flowers:
We love you.

Gees, sorry I missed earlier posts. I've been finding out a whole new meaning to "Stealerships" (as opposed to dealerships) with the economy in the tank, which has caused me to spend untold hours trying to collect money owed to me by people who clearly don't plan to pay.

That was causing my BP to go up, duh. Rather than BP meds, since my BP is normally normal, I was given a sample Xanax. I slept in a parking lot for 6 hours and had to go home afterwords because I must have drooled over myself while sleeping. Hope your meds work better than that for you!

Take care!!!

Doc-

I hope you are feeling better. I have no advice with respect to meds and lifestyle as I tend not to follow advice such as that when it is given to me. I do suggest that if you have any kind of chest discomfort or signs and symptoms that cause you worry, stay put and call 9-1-1. Even if it is something minor, it is best to play it safe- you pay taxes for the service so take advantage of it!

Stay safe,
Bone

A big THANKS to you all. I appreciate all your good thoughts, kind words and prayers. Lord knows they helped get me through this little bump in the road. :tiphat: :thankyou:

Thanks Bone.
I live on a county line. The hospital in my county is small and good for minor needs but anything more than a cut that needs a stitch or two you don't want to go there. If I call 911 they take me to my county hospital which is 35 minutes away. The hospital I prefer (and my doctor works out of) is 25 minutes away, crossing two counties in Ohio and the state line into WV. But, it is closer than my county hospital.

I don't know if you can tell them what hospital you want to go to or not,but that would be good info to know.

We can. Our local is terrible. We then have the 2 big hospital systems (UPMC & Allegheny). I've had the ambulance take me to the one of my choice.

If a helicopter comes to get you, I don't know if you get the choice. I did have the helicopter buzz my house on my last ride. :)

Fortunately the closest hospital to me is also one of the better ones.

I'll ask for a helicopter next time I need a ride to the emergency room. :brows:

It would be a much nicer ride if they didn't strap you down. I had a hard time looking out the windows.

They're also kind of pricey.

I had one I don't remember back in 1991 and it cost me over $5,000. The last one was a twin engine Piper to Cleveland and it was $10,500. At least I had a window to watch the violent storm we kept circling in. They strapped me in but I could move my arms and it was so tight in that plane with the crash cart and instruments I could not move anyway.

glad to hear you are feeling better and home Doc.....came in late...it's been a long week, and starting a new project in the morning.stay well....and relax..Bill w
