Welcome Ibrahim, glad you found us. Hope you enjoy our site, and Post often!!! :)

I'm also glad to hear the google bots are doing a fine job of indexing us.
That's Cool.

I heard the TBN outcasts made their own forum. A Googled the username of a known ex-TBN member.

Welcome Ibrahim!

I am going to bite the bullet and ask here in public (instead of PMing you ;)), you're not related to the owners/operators of TBN are you?

I just want to make sure everyone is clear that you are an honest to goodness member here at FF.

Good to see you, and have fun looking around!

Ok, im gunna use my initiative to find out your true identity

What is your true identity?

Do I win?
:D :D

No, I'm not. But let's see how long it takes for someone to figure out my true identity.
Are you giving out any hints?

I believe I have one clue... You work for Northrup Grumman.

How about the first initial of your TBN handle?

Isn't his TBN handle "Ibrahim"? Otherwise, it's just someone pretending to be him. I believe his profile can be found here:

http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/showprofile.php?Cat=0&User=477

Or are we trying to be more discrete and coax this info out of him?

If this is Ibrahim from TBN then we will all welcome him and hope he enjoys himself!

Additional edit:

From Ibrahim's profile on TBN it's easy to see how Ibrahim, Hakim, and Muhammed are all "related" (they may in fact be brothers):

http://www.imcuniverse.com/team.htm

I'm not trying to offend the TBN Proprietors. They have done a great job over there (my opinion - may not be shared by others here). They have built a successful online community that has attracted sponsors and probably earns them some money. Not the easiest thing to do.

I still frequent the TBN for tractor info. I frequent this place for friends, enemies, and content that would scare away most mainstream advertisers! I see value in both sites and hope we can keep the cross site bickering to a minimum.

Dang only half [at best] right:pat:

I thought for sure it had to be the result of a TBN thread yesterday; actually thought it might be Ibrham himself checking in. Never pondered the possibility that someone from TBN would use that name here for the humor's sake!
Well Played!:tiphat:

Well said PB! Wouldn't have known had I not checked things out here, but I really don't know why Ibraham et al have problems with this place. They run a "G" rated tractor forum; great information. Doc, Junk, et. al. have a much more anything goes "unrated" forum; lots of fun. Too bad I couldn't find both all in one place, but what the heck! :StickOutT

Whoops - missed this. If you aren't Ibrahim then hijacking his name/handle from the other site is IMO a little lame. But whatever turns your crank.

It was still interesting to see the info on the owners of TBN. I don't think I'd ever dug that deep before.

Michael,
Just so you know, MTF is not the 'other' site referred to in previous posts. MTF is a cool tractor site community. Built out of frustration with another site, much like this one. SJ (the admin at MTF) and I help each other as we can.
For those that don't know about MTF here's a link:
www.mytractorforum.com

I knew that it was not MTF but some other site that will remain nameless from me. I think you guys have a neat site that is similar but different (you have the restricted areas and the political areas that we don't have at MTF). For me it is fun to see other forums and see how they are run from my normal "home forum" and also guys sometimes beat us to the punch on tractor related items that can used on both forums.:coolshade

Not at all. I'm glad you're here enjoying the frivolity. What I meant was.......Damn Dargo for "making" another member do something they wouldn;t ordinarily do :thumb:.

Hey KK, that's funny. Dean invited you but you live pretty close to our Junkman.

Dean invited quite a few here. I wonder how he heard about our forum?
He pops in every once in awhile, maybe he'll tell us.

I heard a little birdie told Dean about this place.

2 years ago I became friends on TP with Dean. On many threads over there he helped me with many projects. He is a knowledgeable guy. At one piont, the entire community over at that forum site we were all coordinating a date to have a huge annual gathering & it was going to be at Dean's house in Oklahoma. He has a beatiful spot right on that huge lake. We decided that would be a neutral location for everyone. Well, as everyone was getting ready to make flight arrangements, a large issue (fight) broke out between a few member....and I was one of them. Everyone starting getting involved & taking sides with one member or the other. Dean stood by my side & defended me as I was being accused of accuzations I didnt do. I was not banned but decided after that it was time to find a new forum site & now I am here & glad to be here. Maybe we should all someday here on FF consider doing an annual gathering?

They're coming from TP and TBN and randomly off the internet?

Mercy sakes alive Doc, I think you got yourself a "convoy".

KK, if I get saving now I might be able to afford the flight, good idea! Bob, when are you next going out?
:D :D

I was talking about that in a PM with someone else just yesterday. I like the idea.
Not sure of the logistics of it, but after we get a few more months under our belt maybe we can start planning a FF shindig!

If you search the internet you will find lots of interesting stuff about the Christi's. For example, Hakim is the father and is in his 60's, Ibrahim is the older son at about 24 years of age, and Muhammed is the younger son at about 22 years of age. Their family business is IMC Digital Universe which is a web design company. Hakim is the CEO. I could go on and on but you can search for yourself.

BTW, the fake Ibrahim on this site has a birthdate listed as December 20, 1962 which would put him/her at 43 years of age.

My guess for the fake Ibrahim would be SPIKER!

I too have tinnitus as well from workign around JET ENGINES for 6 years while in military. it is noticeable especially at night, unfortuneatly I learned too late what NOT to do. we / I did wear ear protection durring the long running engine periods but it wasn't enough. the high pitched crackling of the after burners durring tests did a good job at slicencing my upper range of hearing.

when mowing I use GOOD protection in the form of reuseable ear plugs which have a plastic clip which keeps pressure on the ear plug part which seals up the outter ear as well as the inner ear. (somethign very few devices will do) these I recieved form NORTHROPE the big aircraft MFG when I was in military. (I worked on their planes the last years I was in under strict test situations. which is why hrs of engines running at full power ) anyhow a lawn mower will kill the range of sound which we LISTEN TO VOICES with, so if you have a nagging woman, run a mower & kill of the listening abilities
smile.gif
other wise it is better to wear ear protection and if you hear ringing then it is already killing the hairs which transmit the sound to the brain and you are loosing hearing those hairs don't grow back like the ones in the nose & outter ears do
tongue.gif

anyhow be ware of the ear phones as they can actually accelerate the hearing loss, people turn it up and the actual damage is not so much form the sound as it is from the viberations aginst the ear structure which can cause a different type of damage.

I may remember why I went to the other end of the shop, I'm just afraid once I get there I'll forget how to get back!
