[FONT=arial, helvetica]Our Slingshot Sled suspends you on a comfortable mesh sling that absorbs jolts and jumps, instead of amplifying them! Lightweight but torsionally stiff, aluminum tube chassis gives incredible responsiveness as you lean into turns. Wide-track steering (like a '59 Pontiac!) uses stainless-steel leaf springs to provide precise control; front concave skis let you carve tight radius turns. Optional rear skis snap onto rear runners, letting you float through deep powder without submarining! Weighs just 10 lbs., so you can tow or carry it up the hill with ease. Then bomb down the hill, either seated or prone, with the kind of speed, control and comfort you just couldn't achieve on an ordinary sled! Includes 10' tow line.

Boy if I was not so old and hurting already I would have to try that out! Bczoom will have one in no time and give us a product review.

How did you know??? :whistling: I did have their web page open for more details before I even got down to your post.

The 10# weight is the main detractor but that $349 price tag is pretty scary. The weight is a bit much for the kids to take up the hill repeatedly. They'll run a toboggan a few times but after awhile that gets heavy so they switch to light, plastic sleds.

Agway has the grain scoop shovels for $29.95. That is how we used to come down the ski slope I worked at as kid. Amazing how fast they will go with a coat of wax!

We used to go to the reservoir and fly down the hillside, often times flying off and being catapulted into the air.
This was on large inner tubes.. great fun!

Yeah we had reservoir hill in York,Pa.. It was a lot of fun as long as you got stopped before you crossed the street and ended up in the college. Of course the college girls were a lot of fun!:brows: The cops shut it down when it was icy.

Oh to have snow to play on

Looks like a lot of fun , we used to tie a bonnet (car hood to you guy's) behind a car and ride it while being dragged along the beach , you could shift your weight enough to slide it into the water and get airborn . Snow would be better/softer though :yum:
