I think it's real sweet that you take up for the little girl....your right, the rules don't apply there. you should be commended for your time in the nursing home.
I spend hours daily in a nursing home. I do the ladies and gents hair (that's what I do for a living) for free. I come in with kids and we do manicures. other times I just hang out and we spend time with the residents. The ladies like the kids holding their hands, painting their nails and talking with them. There's a couple that I take out on a weekly basis to get a break from the home. I have a job, two kids, and I home school them. So I'm busy too.
I get how you would feel about Sushi and thinking all he does is complain, when you spend your time with people that should complain and don't. You obviously have a big heart or you wouldn't do all the volunteering of your time that you do. Sushi is a human being that is having trouble dealing with life sometimes. That is just as big an illness as as an illness you can see. Just try to show some of the compassion I know you have and try to understand the whole story before judging. Your hurting him and and others that care about him, and I'm sure that's not what you ment to do in the first place
That is becoming painfully obvious.

Everybody take a breath. Sometimes it is hard to read someones intent in print without the benefit of voice inflections.
DZ means no malice to Sushi. Coming from me, this will hopefully mean a lot to many, especially the old timers, because me & DZ used to go at each other to the point of unbelievable ugliness. I used to not like DZ very much because I didn't understand where he was coming from, and the mods got between us more than once. One day, I decided to actually apply some philosophy I was studying which advocated that we should seek first to understand the people we interact with, then, after actually truly understanding that person, then we can seek to be understood. It's a two-way street. And guess what? I understand where DZ is coming from now. And I also understand where the rest of you guys are coming from.
We have a unique group of people here at FF. I've discovered that everyone has something to offer. We don't always agree on everything, but we by-and-large get along pretty good, and I've come to consider many of you guys friends. That's why I came back here after I left a few months ago. You guys are a good bunch of people and DZ is a part of that group of good folks that I have come to like and respect. Let's give each other a chance, and lets seek first to understand each other before we go to slapping one another. You might be surprised what you will learn when you open up and seek understanding.
