Head cold

Wife got a head cold a few weeks ago. So of course, it came to me. But not as bad.
Runny nose ( runs down the back of my throat. Not aleaky nose) and resultant sore throat. Lasts a day or so. Went away. Came back again for a day or so. Then went away again. This has been going on for two weeks.
Muconix dm max 12 hit pills help. I've tried the little pink allergy pills with little relief. Liquid medicine like Nyquil.
And wige being Polish, the old world cures like real chicken soup, tea with honey. And then her favorite concoction. Honey and lemon juice.
But it just keeps coming back.
I have my normal 6 month check up this coming Friday, so I'll wait to then to see a doc.
Any recommendations to help this?

If you add constant coughing, it sounds like you have what I'm battling.

Hot tea with honey & lemon juice soothes things but doesn't cure it.

I'm on my second round of antibiotics and now have some steroids to add to the mix.

Not coughing much at all. Just clearing my throat from the river of mucous

I'm coughing and blowing my nose, mostly, and unsuccessfully, trying to clear the mucous from my throat that is making me cough. I don't feel terrible. Very low energy, likely due to poor sleep due to coughing spasms.

If Mucinex isn't helping, try a neti pot.
It's gross and uncomfortable, but...!
I had crap like this last year, I used Coricidin.

Oh boy. Those things look disgusting.
I'll try some coricidin.
And stick it out till my Friday appointment.

This cold season is bad. I've had a lingering sinus headache for a month. Occasional cough. Not as bad as my wife and daughter who both ended up on 2 different puffers after a trip to the walk in clinic this week
