The Mrs. made this dish the other day but kept the cabbage/peppers/bacon separate from the noodles in the fridge leftovers. Yesterday, she made mashed potatoes and there were leftovers.
Hmmm, instead of adding the cabbage mix to the noodles, I opted for the mashed potatoes so I made myself a bowl. 3 big scoops of potatoes laid over the cabbage. Thankfully, there was a lot of "potatoes" stuck to the spoon so I licked it before putting it in the microwave.
YUCK, YUCK, YUCK!!
What I didn't realize is that there was leftover frosting for the carrot cake in the fridge right next to the mashed potatoes. I grabbed the wrong bowl so I got a huge blast of very sugary frosting. That'll mess up your taste buds when you're not expecting it. My daughter was standing next to me and was laughing her ass off.
I was able to re-separate the frosting and make what I actually wanted.
