Greetings from PieSusan

New member
Some of you already know me from NetCookingTalk. I thought joining over here would be fun! Doc has been so kind to give us all a soft landing at the other forum and some of you have come over there, so I decided to come here, too!

In a nutshell, I am a stressed out caregiver who loves to bake and I have been confused with one of your members who is also a stressed out caregiver.
Best always, Pie Susan
MMMMPie, when come back, bring pie.

hmmmm...
caregiver, NE Ohio vs. nurse NW Ohio...
I suspect odd sense of humor?

no idea how they could ever confuse the 2 of you.

Welcome to the forums!

Welcome to the forum!

There's an initiation that comes with new members from NCT. They have to provide the mods with a meal. Based on your name, it looks like pie for this week.

You need to fax each mod a piece of pie. I'd like coffee with mine. I have heard that it's best to fax the meal before pouring the beverage into the fax machine...

Thanks, for the kind welcome. For what it is worth Jim, I am having trouble downloading my avatar photo from photobucket and I haven't been able to add my sig line. I guess I shall try again later.

I'm not a mod, but would love to try some of those latkes - oh, most high and wonderful mistress of the round baked good!
Im your honor, I will enact a sacrifice of fruit enclosed in graham cracker crumbs 10 days hence.

Do we mods get to pick the flavor of the pie?? You know kind of like Bakers Square :yum:

Welcome and post often. Just don't post pictures of the food you make. I am having a hard enough time keeping my physique in line. :hide:

This reminds me... someone posted a recipe from NCT over here a week or so ago.... I gotta show that it the wifey..... why are we talking about this so close to lunch time?

Oh... and welcome to FF.. I prefer peanut butter... :D

Hi Susan. Welcome to Forums Forums. I'm glad you signed up here.
For your avatar you might try saving it to your PC first, then browse to where you saved it and select it for your avatar. Mucho better than having one load from PhotoBucket.

Something I've never seen asked on Net Cooking Talk: What is your favorite pie of all that you make?

Don't forget, enjoy and post often. :thumb: :D

Hi Susan, Welcome to FF. I love pie.... Did you bring enough for everyone? My favorite is triple berry!

Hey, Susan! Glad you came over to the "Dark Side". Now if you'd be so kind as to sign on to Net Tractor Talk, you'll have your bases covered.

lol, the last time we had a riding mower a neighbor borrowed it and returned it in pieces in boxes. Seriously!!!

the last time I borrowed my neighbors riding mower/kinda big like a tractor, I wore my bathing suit and a friend stopped me to chat. Next thing I know, a rumor spread on the street that I was stopping traffic.

Who knows. Might be worth stoppin' for.

:nopics:

Ok now that I got myself in trouble :hide: But someone else was going to say it if I didn't :whistling:

Welcome to the madhouse, I try not to do too much cooking - well I live on my own, so I have an excuse. If you like cooking, have you tried Bara Brith? It is a Welsh recipe, translates as spotty bread, sounds horrible in translation, but it is lovely, sliced with or without butter.

Greetings, Pie! We will have to talk Latkes. I have a recipe I made at Christmas for Israeli Latkes with spinach, zucchini and potatoes....tasted wonderful. Had plenty of left overs. Need tips on how to make 'em crispy.

Welcome PieSusan,
Hey Ohio needs all the care givers we can get :flowers:
Welcome to the nut house. Who knows, you might be able to grind up a few of the resident nuts and make a pie out of them. Well, on second thought please don't, it wouldn't be fit to eat.

Could ya just email mine? My fax is down right now. I think Sushi tried to fax me a fish or something.

Welcome to the forums!

Well, I do have a bawdy sense of humor. Hmmm. Sounds like that :flowers:other Ohio lady must be a heckuva gal!

As for pics, I am a lawyer and I know all about photoshop. I have no pictures of me online. It wouldn't be prudent! You will just have to do with Sadie and Celia, my adorable furbabies.

As for latkes, ask away!

As for Baker's Square--my pies are by far better! Please....they are homemade--no storebought or in a box crust from me!

Thanks for the kind greetings. It has been one miserable, hellish day and I appreciate coming here to this silliness.
Best always, Pie Susan

:flowers: Susan, I was not comparing your pies to Bakers Square, I was only wondering if there was options to different flavors like Bakers Square. I am sure your pies are much better than Bakers Square. :thumb:
