I just scored some good deals on ebay. The durango needed a new catalytic converter. I set out to find one locally and discovered that you can't just get a cataylic converter. You have to get the whole thing from the muffler all the way to the exhaust pipes going into the heads. And all that for a low low price of $720.
I came home and set out to find the same thing on ebay. I quickly found the same thing for $212 with free shipping to the border. I ordered it.
I got to thinking that I should change the O2 sensors. Again, I looked locally and they are $100 a peice. I looked on ebay....$15 a piece with free shipping to the border.
I also ordered a couple AC block off valves for the missus' vehicle to bypass the rear AC lines so I can recharge the system and still have front AC without spending a fortune.
It's a 45 minute drive to the border. With what I save in the price of the parts and what I save by filling up there with cheap american gas, I stand to save $850 total. Not a bad deal!
