Regardless that most people care less if people say irregardless, this misuse should have been nipped in the bud long ago. Maybe they are just scape goats for the broader problems of the decline of education, but even though I have been biding my time here, cringing at the next faux pas while they get off scot-free, it's truly a mute point these days.
