This unique gathering of four antique Chris Craft Barrelbacks took place at the 2015 Antique and Classic Boat Show. Grand Rouge is a 16-foot 1939 Chris Craft Racing Runabout owned by Tom and Kris Basset of Wenatchee, Wash., Killer is a 19-foot 1942 Chris Craft Custom Runabout owned by Steve Zwarg of Spokane, Lily is a 19-foot 1939 Chris Craft Custom Runabout owned by Rich Jones and Lindy Lewis of Sagle, and Malibu is a 19-foot 1940 Chris Craft Custom Runabout owned by Tom and Marianne Carlin of Woodinville Wash

A lot of these boats were built so the rich could drive, actually be driven by their chauffer, down the Hudson from Connecticut "summer' homes to Manhattan. That way they missed traffic into New York City.

Beautiful works of art and machine.

Thankfully loved and preserved.
