F***ing wolves

I though Big Al said he actually has seen them this large????
How can you tell those photos are phony?????
If you look back on one of my previous posts I posted some links: http://www.thewildlifenews.com/2011/...d-photography/ http://www.huntandtell.com/2009/06/18/huge-wolf/ http://ecolocalizer.com/2009/11/27/a...ct-or-fiction/

That tells how the pics were made and that the same pic (of the bald guy with the wolf) was said to be taken in Idaho, Montana and Alberta Canada.

I have looked at many other links and they all say that most of the info. about "giant" wolves is phony.

Since one of the posters on this Forum told me about this not spying like Google does I have been using this search engine: https://startpage.com/uk/

Try it yourself, put in "giant canadian wolves" and see what you get.

Ok ... My question is how do you know that the phony picture accusation is not something started by the Anti hunters and Animal Rights groups ???They would love to stop all hunting and save the wolves and they will do or say whatever it takes to try an win .

As far as the size , AGAIN , all I can say is I have seen them that big with my own eyes . What else can I say ?? Now if someone killed it in Canada and then hauled it all the way here to show it off and let me see it , I guess I could be mistaken . The problem is I have also seen them running on my ranch and never had a rifle handy . How do we explain that ??

You only have my word for it . Of course many business and personal deals have been made by me on my word and a handshake and it seems to have worked so far .

I guess the best thing to do is post a picture ( I'll take it ) of the next big wolf we kill up here . Does anybody want a picture of the gut pile too . How about one holding the local NewsPaper with todays date on it ???:yum:

Then everyone can decide for themselves how big they are .

In the meantime I will kill every wolf (small , big or otherwise) that gets in my sights or in front of my truck bumper .:flowers:

AL I have no axe to grind in this either way. If YOU tell me you have seen a wolf this big with your own eyes I believe you.

No , I know that .
Its hard for folks who have not seen these big old things to believe how big they can be .

Now I have been known to shoot a Royal 6x6 Bull Elk and by the time I had got it home it have shrunk into a Spike bull . Hot weather will do that:unsure: :shifty:.

Allen, this ought to get your blood boiling.

JOSEPH – A recent lull in the Imnaha Pack's stock attacks ended abruptly last week as the wolves injured at least three cattle, one of them a 2-year-old bred heifer that soon required euthanasia.

The depredation cases were discovered Thursday, March 8, on rancher Dave Talbott’s property, about 13 miles east of Joseph.

Wallowa County Commissioner Susan Roberts, who attended the depredation investigation, said Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife investigators confirmed wolf bite injuries to three of Talbott's cattle.

While one of the animals appeared to be on the mend, two others were faring poorly at the time of the investigation. Roberts said one, an 8-year-old cow, had developed a fever but might survive. The third animal, the 2-year old heifer, was euthanized on the recommendation of a veterinarian at the scene.

The veterinarian determined that the heifer's dire state resulted not only from bites and trauma, but as well from “the stress of being run to avoid being eaten,” Roberts said.

The veterinarian also determined that the heifer's unborn calf was already dead. Roberts said the cow was probably within two to three weeks of calving. She added that the veterinarian believed injuries were three to five days old, placing the attacks within a March 3-5 time span.

Roberts said the attacks occurred despite extra measures Talbott had been taking lately to protect his cattle against wolves known to be in the area. Neighbors had been helping, but in the end the wolves got the cattle anyway

Bob, you got it posted first!

Here's the last paragraph:

Before last week's confirmed wolf attacks, the Imnaha Pack's most recent kill was an outfitter's mule whose remains were discovered Jan. 13. A week earlier, on Jan. 7, the wolves attacked and killed a 10-month-old replacement heifer

We have them now in the upper part of the lower peninsula of Michigan. I too, will not hesitate to put the poor things out of their misery. They are rampant in the UP, and the deer population is suffering. The deer don't bother me that much, but there are a few reports of them harassing hunters. School kids don't carry guns, that's my worry. As Barney Fife said, you have to nip it in the bud.

Get your tags and get hunting! Or better yet get a trappers license.

Appeals court allows wolf hunts

Associated Press BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - A federal appeals court has rejected a lawsuit from conservation groups that want to block wolf hunts that have killed more than 500 of the predators across the Northern Rockies in recent months.
Wednesday's ruling from the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals says Congress had the right to intervene when it stripped protections from wolves last spring.
Lawmakers stepped in after court rulings kept wolves on the endangered list for years after they reached recovery goals.
The number of wolves in the region grew slightly last year. There are at least 1,774 in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, and portions of eastern Oregon and Washington.
Wolf hunting is allowed in Montana and Idaho, and it could resume in Wyoming this fall.
Idaho also allows trapping.
