I dont think you realize how many folks you have pulling for you.
The place went super quiet last time you " disappeared"

We are with you.

Thanks sweety, a whole bunch!

Well, that's what I was told about the quiet part, and that just amazes me and makes me feel humbled and loved even more.

Maybe it's because I love you guys like a real family and share far too much about me and my life, but I don't know how to do it any other way and never will.

As time passes, I am feeling less frightened, however... tomorrow morning will be the OMGGGGGGGGG! thing all over again.:yum:

I'm sure I'll be ok, and I'll be back on here as soon as I can to put y'all at ease.

Well, I have some good news and some bad news.
Good news is, total procedure time was around 35 minutes and I came out from under the general anesthetic fairly fast.
Bad news is, once the good Doctor got in there and looked around and pulled the stent, 3 stones came out with another 10 or so larger ones that were lodged, just waiting in line to try and escape.
He cut a little to try and help them along, but it was a no go.
He replaced the stent with a somewhat larger one.
So, guess where I am headed next week?
Indiana University Hospital.

They have advanced procedures and specialists there.
Dr. Sheikh's office are going to contact me in the next couple of days as to my referral at IU.
I can't believe this.
So here I am, on Cipro with a new stent and waiting for my trip to Indy.

I don't feel in any type of form at the moment.
Spent the night with my sis. Ran a temp until about 11 last night (100.2-99.0), felt fine this morning, even stopped at IHOP on the way home and tried to eat something, but couldn't.
Right now I can't think straight.
BTW, friend Cathy is prepared to take me to Indy and will be staying there with me for as many days as it takes.
Older son has plans for race week/weenkend at Indy, so he may be already down there, depending on when all this gets scheduled.
Youngest son volunteered to take me (no way-no further comment).
Sis can't.. too much stuff of her own going on all next week.
I'll be in good hands when the time comes and feel very good about that.

Wow lollie, I'm just catching up. (busy week here on my end).
Best wishes to you girl. You'll pull through with ease I'm sure.
You have the best support team in the world right here.
Take care!
Good thoughts and prayers coming your way!!!!!!

Hey PG, sorry about the new stones. Are they going to try the ultrasonic blaster? I know that works on kidney stones, not sure about gallstones.

Sorry about the bad news part, but I'm confident you'll pull through without any complications. You have too many folks here pulling for you for it to go any other way!

Those aren't new stones Jeff, they'd been in there since the first stenting- before having the gall bladder removed.
It was thought they might flush through over the last 8 weeks. Some did, the ones that were found remaining yesterday were too big and too crowded up high, that it would have been dangerous to cut any higher and mess around.

Using a procedure to crush them was mentioned, and dissolving them along with another type of procedure.
I'll keep you all informed about when I leave for Indianapolis, as soon as I know anything.

Goodness girl! you are going to need a super vac to pull them out of there. Hope they can blast them and retrieve them. Are they painful or just troublesome? I will volunteer to massage them out! never heard of stones being built up beyond the gall bladder. They got all the wife's out when they removed it. At least we hope they did. Prayers and best outcome for you. Bill:flowers::flowers::flowers:

No pain at all Bill, and I am surprised.
The sumbitches are just lying in there waiting grrrrrrr
I have your phone number. I have phone numbers from a lot of you.
Once I get down to Indy and get it all taken care of, I'll give Cathy your phone numbers and tell her to call you, then she'll give you my room phone number at the hospital. k?

yipes!
Sorry I missed all this - best of luck and plenty of prayers coming your way.
At this point, all I can do is suggest you apply for a job at the Topeka VAMC (they're pretty much constantly looking for nurses, both RN & LPN) and move down here -- we'll take good care of ya.

IU Medical Center.
I'll be there the 22-24th at least.
I have an excellent doctor with fabulous credentials.
Right now I am functioning just peachy.
Nothing has been a problem-- no pain, good digestion, overall I feel perfect.
I talked to a nurse who works with Dr. Sherman today and she said I don't have a thing to worry about.
So, I am looking forward to getting this over with so I don't have to think about it.

I can feel your pain. Had stones when I was 19. Too big to pass and too close to the kidneys to blast. Was medivaced to the nearest center able to treat the stones and provide surgery. They were only able to install a stent to bypass the stones. Got a ride home. My body was having a hard time accepting the stent at first and I wound up in the hospital for a few days. Had to wait a couple weeks and fly to Manitoba to get a lithrotrypsy(SP???) done to break up the stones. Flew home then a week later, had the stent removed. From the time they installed the stent, never really had pain. Until they removed it that is. Screwed my system up royally and I ended up back in the hospital for a few days till all the systems were working normally again.

All in all, I ended up off work for a month and a half for a few kidney stones.

Well Brian, I lost a lot of time off work just figuring out what the hell was going on with me, then thankfully had the root of the problem removed, but now face something else altogether.

Must be all the beer I used to drink that kept me from getting them. Wife had them and it was painful as hell till she got her gall bladder removed. Good luck PG. Will be thinking of you.:flowers:
