More proof that the liberals will eat their own as they continue to move farther and farther to the LEFT, and embrace outright SOCIALISM. This is not a slow lurch into socialism. This is putting on running shoes, firing the starting gun and racing headlong into Socialism.

In unprecedented move, DNC official to spend big to take down fellow Democrats

David Hogg, the DNC vice chair, wants to take

down some safe incumbents.

Parkland survivor and activist David Hogg speaks to the crowd during in the second March for Our Lives rally in support of gun control on Saturday, June 11, 2022, in Washington.
He praised Hogg as a “passionate advocate,” adding he is grateful for his service “whether it be in his role as a DNC Vice Chair or in an outside capacity.”
A DNC aide, granted anonymity to discuss internal party dynamics, also noted that all DNC officers other than Hogg signed a “neutrality policy,” pledging to stay out of primaries in their official and personal capacity.
Hogg burst onto the political scene as a survivor of the high school shooting in Parkland, Fla., in 2018 and was elected as a vice chair of the DNC in February, over the objection of moderates who complained about his history of far-left rhetoric. Traditionally, DNC vice chairs are largely ceremonial roles with little public attention and even less power. But Hogg is testing the limits of the position — and the DNC’s willingness to stomach internal dissent.
Hogg argued that backing primary challengers is in line with what he ran on for his DNC role. “I am not in this position because I want to bank my political capital. I just want change. I want to see a stronger Democratic Party,” he said.
He acknowledged “there are going to be people who are very, very upset about this” but argued Democrats “are in a crisis right now,” citing a recent CNN poll that found the party’s approval rating at 29 percent, a record low for the party.
“Our base is craving dramatic change,” Hogg said. “We need to show our base we’re here to fight for them. We need to show there are younger faces stepping up.”
But Hogg did name-check two exceptions: Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who is 85, and Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.), who is 80. He described them as “fighters who are delivering.” . . .

They are not taking down fellow Party Democrats.
They are culling the herd of conservative ones.
Something they have been doing for years.
And the results are obvious.
They lost the last election!
BIG!!!!!
Please, oh PLEASE!!!, continue. :whistling:

Not sure that they are culling the conservatives because there are so few of those left in the party that they are rarer than hen's teeth.

I think they are just going after anyone who is not a tried and true socialist.

Perhaps I am splitting hairs in the definition of 'conservative' Democrats? But seriously they are going to 'primary' the older establishment Democrats that simply are not crazed liberals.

Why? To make room for the next batch of batshit crazy crop of Jasmine Crockets and A.O.C. type lunatics. The odd thing is they think that the far left fringe is what Americans actually want. And, to be sure, there are SOME who want that. But obviously most do not. Not sure why they don't see that. But as far as I'm concerned, they can go for it. I wish them success in destroying themselves.

I think you are splitting hairs here. But I understand.
What the Democratic leadership, as it is, does not seem to grasp is that the current American voter isn't going socialist and the majority doesn't like the taste of what they are serving.

Agreed.

In fact polling data, at least for now, is showing the college age voters are now trending MAGA. No clue if that will continue with the 'heir apparent' J.D.Vance in 3.5 year, but MAGA seems to be a growing movement on college campuses.

That is the interesting part. Why would they think that most Americans want far left, socialist type policies? The national elections and polls certainly show quite the opposite. However, in certain districts, such as AOC's and Jasmine Crockett's, the majority does want that, apparently. It's a case of these little bastions of leftism, these dark blue areas, from whence emerge loud-mouthed radicals that attract other radicals from other like areas. Put them together, and they look formidable, but compared to the whole, they are miniscule. Thus, they won't win on a national level, but as they are surrounded constantly by like-minded lunatics, and keep separate from regular Americans, as if in a bubble, they delude themselves into actually believing that their message is popular. It's echo chamber politics.

Because they live in their own bubble, their own echo chamber.

They don't believe the polling data.

They believe they are our betters, smarter than us, and able to choose our choices for our good.

Yes, it is their "burden." Their college educations in transgender interracial hamster studies and the like have endowed them as our elite overseers. Never mind that if the latte machines were broken they'd go mad and if the store shelves were bare they'd immediately starve to death. They know better. We have no choice but to acquiesce to their superior intelligence.
