So I've known Dasha for just about a year. In all that time I am pretty sure that I can count the number of times she has called me on the phone on just 1 hand. Kids today text and snapchat and tweet but they don't call on the phone.
Last night Dasha called me from Boston. She has only been gone for only a few days.
Her new coach has a 16 year old son. Dasha is all googlie-eyed over this "handsome" boy.
Dasha asked me to teach her how to flirt
She is so accomplished in so many ways but so awkward in some ways.
I'm glad I'm friends with her new coach, I'm looking forward to the upcoming stories he tells me about how this all goes.

Pretty much that.
She is very shy and it took some of her friends at the last high school months to get to really understand that she was shy, not stuck up. But once they all figured it out she made several good friends. What will hamper her with any boy is the fact that she is shy. On the plus side the boy is a fencer, she will see him nearly every day at the new fencing club so there is time for the two of them to get to know each other and figure out if there is a real attraction.
Until they figure that out, she has butterflies when she sees him.
